1 Bem-aventurado aquele que teme ao Senhor e anda nos seus caminhos.2 Pois comerás do trabalho das tuas mãos; feliz serás, e te irá bem.3 A tua mulher será como a videira frutífera aos lados da tua casa; os teus filhos como plantas de oliveira à roda da tua mesa.4 Eis que assim será abençoado o homem que teme ao Senhor.5 O Senhor te abençoará desde Sião, e tu verás o bem de Jerusalém em todos os dias da tua vida.6 E verás os filhos de teus filhos, e a paz sobre Israel.

1 [A Song of degrees.] Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, that walketh in his ways.2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thy hands; happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine in the inner part of thy house; thy children like olive-plants round about thy table.4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth Jehovah.5 Jehovah will bless thee out of Zion; and mayest thou see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life,6 And see thy children's children. Peace be upon Israel!
