1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually. 3 Without the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron keep it in order from evening to morning before Jehovah continually: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations. 4 He shall keep in order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before Jehovah continually.

5 And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth parts of an ephah shall be in one cake. 6 And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before Jehovah. 7 And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto Jehovah. 8 Every sabbath day he shall set it in order before Jehovah continually; it is on the behalf of the children of Israel, an everlasting covenant. 9 And it shall be for Aaron and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of Jehovah made by fire by a perpetual statute.

10 And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp: 11 and the son of the Israelitish woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him unto Moses. And his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan. 12 And they put him in ward, that it might be declared unto them at the mouth of Jehovah.

13 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 14 Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him. 15 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin. 16 And he that blasphemeth the name of Jehovah, he shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the sojourner, as the home-born, when he blasphemeth the name of Jehovah, shall be put to death. 17 And he that smiteth any man mortally shall surely be put to death. 18 And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life. 19 And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbor; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him: 20 breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be rendered unto him. 21 And he that killeth a beast shall make it good: and he that killeth a man shall be put to death. 22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the sojourner, as for the home-born: for I am Jehovah your God. 23 And Moses spake to the children of Israel; and they brought forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

1 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise și a zis: 2 „Poruncește*Exod 27:20,21. copiilor lui Israel să-ți aducă pentru sfeșnic untdelemn curat de măsline tescuite, ca să țină candelele aprinse neîncetat. 3 Aaron să-l pregătească dincoace de perdeaua dinăuntru, care este înaintea mărturiei, în cortul întâlnirii, pentru ca să ardă neîncetat, de seara până dimineața, în fața Domnului. Aceasta este o lege veșnică pentru urmașii voștri. 4 Să așeze candelele în sfeșnicul de aur curat*Exod 31:8;39:37., ca să ardă neîncetat înaintea Domnului.

5 Să iei floare de făină și să faci din ea douăsprezece turte*Exod 25:30.; fiecare turtă să fie făcută din două zecimi de efă. 6 Să le pui în două șiruri, câte șase în fiecare șir, pe masa*1 Împ. 7:48.2 Cron. 4:19;13:11.Evr. 9:2. de aur curat, înaintea Domnului. 7 Peste fiecare șir să pui tămâie curată, care să fie pe pâine ca aducere aminte, ca un dar de mâncare mistuit de foc înaintea Domnului. 8 În*Num. 4:7.1 Cron. 9:32.2 Cron. 2:4. fiecare zi de Sabat, să se pună aceste pâini înaintea Domnului, neîncetat: acesta este un legământ veșnic pe care-l vor ține copiii lui Israel. 9 Pâinile acestea*1 Sam. 21:6.Mat. 12:4.Marcu 2:26.Luca 6:4. să fie ale lui Aaron și ale fiilor lui și*Exod 29:33. Cap. 8:31;21:22. să le mănânce într-un loc sfânt; căci ele sunt pentru ei un lucru preasfânt, o parte din darurile de mâncare mistuite de foc înaintea Domnului. Aceasta este o lege veșnică."

10 Fiul unei femei israelite și al unui bărbat egiptean, venind în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel, s-a certat în tabără cu un bărbat israelit. 11 Fiul femeii israelite a hulit*Vers. 16. și a blestemat*Iov 1:5,11,22;2:5,9,10.Is. 8:21. Numele lui Dumnezeu. L-au*Exod 18:22,26. adus la Moise. Mama sa se numea Șelomit, fata lui Dibri, din seminția lui Dan. 12 L-au aruncat*Num. 15:34. în temniță, până*Exod 18:15,16.Num. 27:5;36:5,6. va spune Moise ce va porunci Domnul. 13 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise și a zis: 14 „Scoate din tabără pe cel ce a hulit; toți cei ce l-au auzit să-și pună mâinile*Deut. 13:9;17:7. pe capul lui și toată adunarea să-l ucidă cu pietre. 15 Să vorbești copiilor lui Israel și să le spui: ‘Oricine va blestema pe Dumnezeul lui își va lua*Cap. 5:1;20:17.Num. 9:13. pedeapsa pentru păcatul lui. 16 Cine va blestema*1 Împ. 21:10,13.Ps. 74:10,18.Mat. 12:31.Marcu 3:28.Iac. 2:7. Numele Domnului va fi pedepsit cu moartea: toată adunarea să-l ucidă cu pietre. Fie străin, fie băștinaș, să moară, pentru că a hulit Numele lui Dumnezeu. 17 Cine*Exod 21:12.Num. 35:31.Deut. 19:11,12. va da unui om o lovitură de moarte să fie pedepsit cu moartea. 18 Cine*Vers. 21. va da unui dobitoc o lovitură de moarte să-l înlocuiască: viață pentru viață. 19 Dacă cineva rănește pe aproapele lui, să i se facă așa cum a făcut*Exod 21:24.Deut. 19:21.Mat. 5:38;7:2. și el: 20 frântură pentru frântură, ochi pentru ochi, dinte pentru dinte; să i se facă aceeași rană pe care a făcut-o el aproapelui său. 21 Cine va*Vers. 18.Exod 21:33. ucide un dobitoc să-l înlocuiască, dar cine*Vers. 17. va ucide un om să fie pedepsit cu moartea. 22 Să aveți aceeași*Exod 12:49. Cap. 19:34.Num. 15:16. lege pentru străin ca și pentru băștinaș; căci Eu sunt Domnul Dumnezeul vostru.’" 23 Moise a vorbit copiilor lui Israel; au scos*Vers. 14. afară din tabără pe cel ce hulise și l-au ucis cu pietre. Copiii lui Israel au făcut după porunca pe care o dăduse lui Moise Domnul.
