1 [Psalm of David.] Jehovah said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I put thine enemies {as} footstool of thy feet.2 Jehovah shall send the sceptre of thy might out of Zion: rule in the midst of thine enemies.3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in holy splendour: from the womb of the morning {shall come} to thee the dew of thy youth.4 Jehovah hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art priest for ever after the order of Melchisedek.5 The Lord at thy right hand will smite through kings in the day of his anger.6 He shall judge among the nations; he shall fill {all places} with dead bodies; he shall smite through the head over a great country.7 He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore shall he lift up the head.

Von David.So spricht Jahwe zu meinem Herrn: / "Setz dich zu meiner Rechten hin, / bis ich deine Feinde zum Schemel für dich mache, / auf den du deine Füße stellst.2 Dich hat Jahwe zum König gemacht. / Von Zion aus herrsche über den Feind!3 Dein Volk kommt willig, wenn deine Macht erscheint. / Geschmückt wie der Tau in heiliger Pracht / kommt deine junge Mannschaft zu dir."4 Jahwe hat geschworen und bereut es nicht: / "Du bist mein Priester für ewige Zeit, / so wie Melchisedek es seinerzeit war."5 Der Herr wird dir zur Seite stehen, / der am Tag seines Zorns Könige zermalmt,6 der Gericht hält über die Völker der Welt. / Er füllt alles mit Leichen und zerschmettert das Haupt, / das sich über die Lande erhebt.7 Er trinkt aus dem Bach neben dem Weg. / Er hebt sein Haupt und erringt den Sieg.
