1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. 3 Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. 4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples. 5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and a nation that knew not thee shall run unto thee, because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. 6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, and giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater; 11 so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

1 "Ah! Todos vocês que têm sede,

venham às águas;

e vocês que não têm dinheiro,

venham, comprem e comam!

Sim, venham e comprem,

sem dinheiro e sem preço,

vinho e leite.

2 Por que vocês gastam o dinheiro

naquilo que não é pão,

e o seu suor,

naquilo que não satisfaz?

Ouçam com atenção o que eu digo,

comam o que é bom

e vocês irão saborear

comidas deliciosas.

3 Deem ouvidos e venham a mim;

escutem, e vocês viverão.

Porque farei uma aliança eterna

com vocês,

que consiste nas fiéis misericórdias

prometidas a Davi.

4 Eis que eu fiz dele

uma testemunha aos povos,

um príncipe

e governador dos povos.

5 Eis que você chamará uma nação

que você não conhece,

e uma nação

que nunca o conheceu

virá correndo para junto de você,

por causa do Senhor, seu Deus,

e do Santo de Israel,

porque este o glorificou."

6 Busquem o Senhor

enquanto ele pode

ser encontrado;

invoquem-no

enquanto ele está perto.

7 Que o ímpio abandone

o seu mau caminho,

e o homem mau,

os seus pensamentos;

converta-se ao Senhor,

que se compadecerá dele,

e volte-se para o nosso Deus,

porque é rico em perdoar.

8 "Porque os meus pensamentos

não são os pensamentos

de vocês,

e os caminhos de vocês

não são os meus caminhos",

diz o Senhor.

9 "Porque, assim como os céus

são mais altos do que a terra,

assim os meus caminhos

são mais altos do que os seus caminhos,

e os meus pensamentos

são mais altos do que

os pensamentos de vocês.

10 Porque, assim como a chuva

e a neve descem dos céus

e para lá não voltam,

sem que primeiro reguem a terra,

e a fecundem, e a façam brotar,

para dar semente ao semeador

e pão ao que come,

11 assim será a palavra

que sair da minha boca:

não voltará para mim vazia,

mas fará o que me apraz

e prosperará naquilo

para que a designei."

12 "Vocês sairão com alegria

e em paz serão guiados;

os montes e as colinas

romperão em cânticos

diante de vocês,

e todas as árvores do campo

baterão palmas.

13 Em lugar do espinheiro,

crescerá o cipreste,

e em lugar da sarça

crescerá a murta.

E isso será glória

para o Senhor

e sinal eterno,

que nunca se apagará."
