1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burneth. 2 And the nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. 3 Thou shalt also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. 5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. 6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are the LORD’S remembrancers, take ye no rest, 7 and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. 8 The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and strangers shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: 9 but they that have garnered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have gathered it shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary. 10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up an ensign for the peoples. 11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the earth, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompence before him. 12 And they shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.

1 Por amor de Sião, não me calarei

e, por amor de Jerusalém,

não me aquietarei,

até que a sua justiça saia

como um resplendor,

e a sua salvação,

como uma tocha acesa.

2 As nações verão a sua justiça,

ó Jerusalém,

e todos os reis contemplarão

a sua glória;

e você será chamada

por um nome novo,

que a boca do Senhor designará.

3 Você será uma coroa de glória

na mão do Senhor,

um diadema real

na mão do seu Deus.

4 Nunca mais a chamarão

de "Abandonada",

e a sua terra não será mais

chamada de "Arrasada".

Você será chamada

de "Minha Delícia",

e a sua terra, de "Casada",

porque o Senhor se delicia

em você,

e a sua terra se casará.

5 Porque, como o jovem

se casa com a moça,

assim os seus filhos

se casarão com você;

como o noivo

se alegra com a noiva,

assim o seu Deus

se alegrará com você.

6 Sobre as suas muralhas,

ó Jerusalém, pus guardas,

que jamais se calarão,

nem de dia nem de noite.

Vocês, que farão

com que o Senhor se lembre,

não descansem,

7 nem deem a ele descanso

até que restabeleça Jerusalém

e a ponha por objeto de louvor

na terra.

8 O Senhor jurou

pela sua mão direita

e pelo seu braço poderoso:

"Nunca mais darei o seu cereal

como alimento

para os seus inimigos,

nem os estrangeiros

beberão o seu vinho,

que você produziu

com tanto trabalho.

9 Mas aqueles que ajuntam

o cereal

serão os que o comerão,

louvando o Senhor;

e os que recolhem as uvas

beberão o vinho nos átrios

do meu santuário."

10 Passem, passem pelas portas!

Preparem o caminho para o povo!

Aterrem, aterrem a estrada,

tirem as pedras,

levantem um estandarte

para os povos.

11 Eis que o Senhor fez ouvir

até os confins da terra

estas palavras:

"Digam à filha de Sião:

Eis que vem o seu Salvador;

com ele vem a sua recompensa,

e diante dele vem o seu galardão."

12 Eles serão chamados de

"Povo Santo",

"Remidos do Senhor",

e você, Jerusalém,

será chamada de "Procurada",

"Cidade Não Abandonada".
