Ngā Wāhi mō ngā Iwi

1 "Nā, ko ngā ingoa ēnei o ngā hapū: Kei te pito i te raki ki te taha o te ara ki Heterono, i te mea ka haere ki Hāmata, kei Hataraenana, kei te rohe ki Ramahiku ki te taha ki te raki, tae noa ki te taha o Hāmata, ko ōna taha ēnei ki te rāwhiti, ki te hauāuru; he wāhi mō Rāna.

2 "Nā, hei te taha o te rohe ki a Rāna, hei te taha ki te rāwhiti tae noa ki te taha ki te hauāuru, he wāhi mō Āhera.

3 "Ā hei te taha i te rohe ki a Āhera hei te taha ki te rāwhiti tae noa ki te taha ki te hauāuru, he wāhi mō Napatari.

4 "Hei te taha anō i te rohe ki a Napatari, hei te taha ki te rāwhiti tae noa ki te taha ki te hauāuru, he wāhi mō Mānahi.

5 "Hei te taha anō o te rohe ki a Mānahi, hei te taha ki te rāwhiti tae noa ki te hauāuru, he wāhi mō Ēparaima.

6 "Hei te taha anō o te rohe ki a Ēparaima, hei te taha i te rāwhiti tae noa ki te hauāuru, he wāhi mō Reupena.

7 "Hei te taha anō o te rohe ki a Reupena, hei te taha ki te rāwhiti tae noa ki te hauāuru, he wāhi mō Hūrā.

8 "Nā, ko te whakahere e hōmai e koutou, hei te taha o tā Hūrā, hei te taha i te rāwhiti tae noa ki te hauāuru, kia rua tekau mā rima mano kākaho te whānui, kia rite te roa ki tō tētahi o ngā wāhi, i te rāwhiti tae noa ki e hauāuru; ā hei waenganui o reira te wāhi tapu.

9 "Ko te whakahere e hōmai e koutou ki a Ihowā, kia rua tekau mā rima mano kākaho te roa, kia kotahi tekau mano te whānui. 10 Nā mō rātou, mō ngā tohunga, tēnei whakahere tapu; whaka te raki, e rua tekau mā rima mano te roa, whaka te hauāuru kotahi tekau mano te whānui, whaka te rāwhiti kotahi tekau mano te whānui, whaka te tonga e rua tekau mā rima mano te roa; ā, ki waenganui o reira te wāhi tapu o Ihowā. 11 Mō ngā tohunga tērā, mō ngā tama a Hāroko kua oti te whakatapu, mō te hunga i tiaki i āku mea, ā, kīhai i kotiti kē i te kotititanga kētanga o ngā tama a Īharaira, kīhai i pērā me ngā Rīwaiti i kotiti kē rā. 12 Nā, hei whakahere tēnei mā rātou nō te whakahere o te whenua, he mea tino tapu rawa, i te taha o te rohe o ngā Rīwaiti.

13 "Nā, i te ritenga ake o te rohe o tō ngā tohunga, kia rua tekau mā rima mano te roa o tō ngā Rīwaiti; kia kotahi tekau mano te whānui, ko te roa katoa e rua tekau mā rima mano; ko te whānui kotahi tekau mano. 14 Kaua hoki tētahi wāhi o reira e hokona, kaua anō e whakawhititia, kaua hoki ngā hua mātāmua o te whenua e whakariroia kētia rānei: he tapu hoki ki a Ihowā.

15 "Nā, ko ngā mano e rima o te whānui i mahue i te ritenga ake o ngā mano e rua tekau mā rima, hei wāhi noa tērā mō te pā, hei nohoanga, hei wāhi i waho ake o te pā; hei waenganui anō o reira te pā. 16 Ko ōna roa anō ēnei; ko te taha ki te raki e whā mano e rima rau, ko te taha ki te tonga e whā mano e rima rau, ko te taha ki te rāwhiti e whā mano e rima rau, ko te taha ki te e whā mano e rima rau. 17 Ā, kia whai wāhi a waho ake o te pā: whaka te raki e rua rau e rima tekau, whaka te tonga e rua rau e rima tekau, whaka te rāwhiti e rua rau e rima tekau, whaka te hauāuru e rua rau e rima tekau. 18 Nā, ko te toenga o te roa i te taha o te wāhi tapu i whakaherea, kotahi tekau mano ki te rāwhiti, kotahi tekau mano ki te hauāuru. Nā, ko tērā wāhi hei te taha i te wāhi tapu i whakaherea; hei kai ōna hua mā ngā kaimahi o te pā. 19 Nā, ko ngā kaimahi katoa i roto i te pā, nō ngā hapū katoa o Īharaira, mā rātou e mahi a reira. 20 Kia rua tekau mā rima mano tētahi taha o te whakahere katoa, kia rua tekau mā rima mano anō tētahi taha. Kia whā ngā taha o te whakahere tapu e whakaherea e koutou, he mea huihui atu ki te wāhi mō te pā.

21 "Nā, mō te rangatira te toenga i tētahi taha, i tētahi taha, o te whakahere tapu, o te wāhi anō i te pā, i te ritenga ake anō o ngā mano e rua tekau mā rima i whakaherea nei, i te rohe ki te rāwhiti, whaka te hauāuru hoki, i te ritenga ake anō o ngā mano e rua tekau mā rima i te rohe ki te hauāuru, i te ritenga ake anō o ngā wāhi mō te rangatira. Nā, ko te whakahere tapu me te wāhi tapu o te whare hei waenganui o reira. 22 Nā, ka takoto atu i te wāhi i ngā Rīwaiti, i te wāhi anō i te pā, arā tērā i waenganui o te wāhi a te rangatira, i waenganui o te rohe ki a Hūrā, o te rohe hoki ki a Pineamine, mō te rangatira tērā.

23 "Nā, mō ērā atu o ngā hapū; i te taha ki te rāwhiti, tae noa ki te taha ki te hauāuru, kia kotahi te wāhi mō Pineamine.

24 "Hei te rohe o tā Pineamine hei te taha ki te rāwhiti, tae noa ki te taha ki te hauāuru, kia kotahi te wāhi mō Himiona.

25 "Hei te rohe anō o tā Himiona, hei te taha ki te rāwhiti, tae noa ki te taha ki te hauāuru, he wāhi mō Ihākara.

26 "Hei te rohe anō o tā Ihākara, hei te taha ki te rāwhiti, tae noa ki te taha ki te hauāuru, he wāhi mō Hepurona.

27 "Hei te rohe anō o tā Hepurona, hei te taha ki te rāwhiti, tae noa ki te taha ki te hauāuru, he wāhi mō Kara.

28 "Hei te rohe anō o tā Kara, hei te taha ki te tonga whaka te tonga, ka takoto atu te rohe i Tāmara, tae noa ki ngā wai o Meripata Karehe, ki te awa o Īhipa, ki te Moana Nui.

29 "Ko te whenua tēnei e wehea e koutou hei wāhi tupu mō ngā hapū o Īharaira, ko ō rātou wāhi anō ēnei," e ai tā te Ariki, tā Ihowā.

30 "Ko ngā putanga atu anō ēnei o te pā i te taha ki te raki, e whā mano e rima rau kākaho te roa, 31 ko ngā kūwaha o te pā me tapa he ingoa ki ngā ingoa o ngā hapū o Īharaira; e toru ngā kūwaha whaka te raki. Ko tētahi ko te Kūwaha o Reupena; ko tētahi ko te Kūwaha o Hūrā; ko tētahi ko te Kūwaha o Rīwai.

32 "Nā, i te taha ki te rāwhiti e whā mano e rima rau kākaho: e toru anō ngā kūwaha; ko tētahi ko te kūwaha o Hōhepa, ko tētahi ko te kūwaha o Pineamine, ko tētahi ko te kūwaha o Rāna.

33 "Nā, i te taha ki te tonga e whā mano e rima rau kākaho te roa, he mea whanganga; e toru anō ngā kūwaha; ko tētahi ko te Kūwaha o Himiona, ko tētahi ko te Kūwaha o Ihākara, ko tētahi ko te Kūwaha o Hepurona.

34 "I te taha ki te hauāuru e whā mano e rima rau kākaho, me ngā kūwaha e toru anō; ko tētahi ko te Kūwaha o Kara, ko tētahi ko te Kūwaha o Āhera, ko tētahi ko te Kūwaha o Napatari.

35 "Kotahi tekau mā waru mano kākaho ki te taiāwhiotia.

"Nā, ko te ingoa o te pā ā taua rā tonu iho:

Ko Ihowā Kei Reira."

1 Now these are the names of the tribes: From the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, Hazar-enan at the border of Damascus, northward beside Hamath (and they shall have their sides east and west), Dan, one portion. 2 And by the border of Dan, from the east side unto the west side, Asher, one portion. 3 And by the border of Asher, from the east side even unto the west side, Naphtali, one portion. 4 And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side unto the west side, Manasseh, one portion. 5 And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side unto the west side, Ephraim, one portion. 6 And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side even unto the west side, Reuben, one portion. 7 And by the border of Reuben, from the east side unto the west side, Judah, one portion.

8 And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side, shall be the oblation which ye shall offer, five and twenty thousand reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the portions, from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it. 9 The oblation that ye shall offer unto Jehovah shall be five and twenty thousand reeds in length, and ten thousand in breadth. 10 And for these, even for the priests, shall be the holy oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of Jehovah shall be in the midst thereof. 11 It shall be for the priests that are sanctified of the sons of Zadok, that have kept my charge, that went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray. 12 And it shall be unto them an oblation from the oblation of the land, a thing most holy, by the border of the Levites.

13 And answerable unto the border of the priests, the Levites shall have five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length shall be five and twenty thousand, and the breadth ten thousand. 14 And they shall sell none of it, nor exchange it, nor shall the first-fruits of the land be alienated; for it is holy unto Jehovah.

15 And the five thousand that are left in the breadth, in front of the five and twenty thousand, shall be for common use, for the city, for dwelling and for suburbs; and the city shall be in the midst thereof. 16 And these shall be the measures thereof: the north side four thousand and five hundred, and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and on the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred. 17 And the city shall have suburbs: toward the north two hundred and fifty, and toward the south two hundred and fifty, and toward the east two hundred and fifty, and toward the west two hundred and fifty. 18 And the residue in the length, answerable unto the holy oblation, shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward; and it shall be answerable unto the holy oblation; and the increase thereof shall be for food unto them that labor in the city. 19 And they that labor in the city, out of all the tribes of Israel, shall till it. 20 All the oblation shall be five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand: ye shall offer the holy oblation foursquare, with the possession of the city.

21 And the residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy oblation and of the possession of the city; in front of the five and twenty thousand of the oblation toward the east border, and westward in front of the five and twenty thousand toward the west border, answerable unto the portions, it shall be for the prince: and the holy oblation and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst thereof. 22 Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince’s, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, it shall be for the prince.

23 And as for the rest of the tribes: from the east side unto the west side, Benjamin, one portion. 24 And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side unto the west side, Simeon, one portion. 25 And by the border of Simeon, from the east side unto the west side, Issachar, one portion. 26 And by the border of Issachar, from the east side unto the west side, Zebulun, one portion. 27 And by the border of Zebulun, from the east side unto the west side, Gad, one portion. 28 And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of Meribath-kadesh, to the brook of Egypt, unto the great sea. 29 This is the land which ye shall divide by lot unto the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their several portions, saith the Lord Jehovah.

30 And these are the egresses of the city: On the north side four thousand and five hundred reeds by measure; 31 and the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel, three gates northward: the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one; the gate of Levi, one. 32 And at the east side four thousand and five hundred reeds, and three gates: even the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; the gate of Dan, one. 33 And at the south side four thousand and five hundred reeds by measure, and three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one. 34 At the west side four thousand and five hundred reeds, with their three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one. 35 It shall be eighteen thousand reeds round about: and the name of the city from that day shall be, Jehovah is there.
