1 Deus é o nosso refúgio
e fortaleza,
socorro bem presente
nas tribulações.
2 Portanto, não temeremos,
ainda que a terra se transtorne
e os montes se abalem
no seio dos mares;
3 ainda que as águas
tumultuem e espumejem
e na sua fúria
os montes estremeçam.
4 Há um rio, cujas correntes
alegram a cidade de Deus,
o santuário das moradas
do Altíssimo.
5 Deus está no meio dela;
jamais será abalada.
Deus a ajudará
desde o romper da manhã.
6 Bramam nações,
reinos se abalam.
Deus faz ouvir a sua voz,
e a terra se dissolve.
7 O Senhor dos Exércitos
está conosco;
o Deus de Jacó é o nosso refúgio.
8 Venham contemplar
as obras do Senhor,
que tem feito desolações na terra.
9 Ele faz cessar as guerras
até os confins do mundo,
quebra o arco e despedaça a lança;
queima os carros no fogo.
10 Aquietem-se e saibam
que eu sou Deus;
sou exaltado entre as nações,
sou exaltado na terra.
11 O Senhor dos Exércitos
está conosco;
o Deus de Jacó é o nosso refúgio.

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth changes, and though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas,3 though the waters of it roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with the swelling of it. Selah.4 There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.5 God is in the midst of her. She shall not be moved. God will help her, and that right early.6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved, he uttered his voice, the earth melted.7 LORD of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.8 Come, behold the works of LORD, what desolations he has made in the earth.9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two. He burns the chariots in the fire.10 Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.11 LORD of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge.
