1 "Now this is what you shall do to them to consecrate them, that they may serve me as priests. Take one young bull and two rams without blemish,2 and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil. You shall make them of fine wheat flour.3 And you shall put them in one basket and bring them in the basket, and bring the bull and the two rams.4 You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tent of meeting, and wash them with water.5 And you shall take the garments, and put on Aaron the coat and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastpiece, and gird him with the skilfully woven band of the ephod;6 and you shall set the turban on his head, and put the holy crown upon the turban.7 And you shall take the anointing oil, and pour it on his head and anoint him.8 Then you shall bring his sons, and put coats on them,9 and you shall gird them with girdles and bind caps on them; and the priesthood shall be theirs by a perpetual statute. Thus you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.10 "Then you shall bring the bull before the tent of meeting. Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon the head of the bull,11 and you shall kill the bull before the LORD, at the door of the tent of meeting,12 and shall take part of the blood of the bull and put it upon the horns of the altar with your finger, and the rest of the blood you shall pour out at the base of the altar.13 And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the appendage of the liver, and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and burn them upon the altar.14 But the flesh of the bull, and its skin, and its dung, you shall burn with fire outside the camp; it is a sin offering.15 "Then you shall take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon the head of the ram,16 and you shall slaughter the ram, and shall take its blood and throw it against the altar round about.17 Then you shall cut the ram into pieces, and wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its pieces and its head,18 and burn the whole ram upon the altar; it is a burnt offering to the LORD; it is a pleasing odor, an offering by fire to the LORD.19 "You shall take the other ram; and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon the head of the ram,20 and you shall kill the ram, and take part of its blood and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron and upon the tips of the right ears of his sons, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet, and throw the rest of the blood against the altar round about.21 Then you shall take part of the blood that is on the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron and his garments, and upon his sons and his sons' garments with him; and he and his garments shall be holy, and his sons and his sons' garments with him.22 "You shall also take the fat of the ram, and the fat tail, and the fat that covers the entrails, and the appendage of the liver, and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and the right thigh (for it is a ram of ordination),23 and one loaf of bread, and one cake of bread with oil, and one wafer, out of the basket of unleavened bread that is before the LORD;24 and you shall put all these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD.25 Then you shall take them from their hands, and burn them on the altar in addition to the burnt offering, as a pleasing odor before the LORD; it is an offering by fire to the LORD.26 "And you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron's ordination and wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be your portion.27 And you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering, and the thigh of the priests' portion, which is waved, and which is offered from the ram of ordination, since it is for Aaron and for his sons.28 It shall be for Aaron and his sons as a perpetual due from the people of Israel, for it is the priests' portion to be offered by the people of Israel from their peace offerings; it is their offering to the LORD.29 "The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, to be anointed in them and ordained in them.30 The son who is priest in his place shall wear them seven days, when he comes into the tent of meeting to minister in the holy place.31 "You shall take the ram of ordination, and boil its flesh in a holy place;32 and Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the bread that is in the basket, at the door of the tent of meeting.33 They shall eat those things with which atonement was made, to ordain and consecrate them, but an outsider shall not eat of them, because they are holy.34 And if any of the flesh for the ordination, or of the bread, remain until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire; it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.35 "Thus you shall do to Aaron and to his sons, according to all that I have commanded you; through seven days shall you ordain them,36 and every day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Also you shall offer a sin offering for the altar, when you make atonement for it, and shall anoint it, to consecrate it.37 Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar, and consecrate it, and the altar shall be most holy; whatever touches the altar shall become holy.38 "Now this is what you shall offer upon the altar: two lambs a year old day by day continually.39 One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer in the evening;40 and with the first lamb a tenth measure of fine flour mingled with a fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and a fourth of a hin of wine for a libation.41 And the other lamb you shall offer in the evening, and shall offer with it a cereal offering and its libation, as in the morning, for a pleasing odor, an offering by fire to the LORD.42 It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tent of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak there to you.43 There I will meet with the people of Israel, and it shall be sanctified by my glory;44 I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar; Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate, to serve me as priests.45 And I will dwell among the people of Israel, and will be their God.46 And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them forth out of the land of Egypt that I might dwell among them; I am the LORD their God.

1 O Senhor disse a Moisés:

— A fim de separar Arão e os seus filhos como sacerdotes para o meu serviço, faça o seguinte: pegue um touro novo e dois carneiros sem defeito. 2 Pegue farinha de trigo e faça alguns pães com azeite e outros sem azeite, todos sem fermento. Faça também alguns pães achatados e passe azeite em cima. 3 Ponha tudo isso numa cesta e ofereça a mim quando você fizer o sacrifício do touro novo e dos dois carneiros.

4 — Traga Arão e os filhos dele para a entrada da Tenda da Minha Presença e mande que eles se lavem. 5 Depois vista Arão com as suas roupas de sacerdote, isto é, a túnica, o manto sacerdotal, a sobrepeliz , o peitoral e o cinto que passa pela cintura do manto. 6 Ponha nele a mitra e amarre nela a placa sagrada em que estão gravadas as palavras "Separado para o Senhor". 7 Em seguida ponha na cabeça dele o azeite de ungir.

8 — Traga os filhos de Arão e vista túnicas neles. 9 Ponha faixas em volta da sua cintura e mitra na sua cabeça. É assim que você consagrará Arão e os seus filhos. Ele e os seus descendentes deverão me servir para sempre como sacerdotes.

10 — Traga também o touro novo para a frente da Tenda da Minha Presença, e Arão e os seus filhos porão as mãos na cabeça dele. 11 Mate o touro ali na minha presença, na entrada da Tenda. 12 Depois pegue o sangue do touro e, com o dedo, ponha sobre as pontas do altar e derrame o resto na base do altar. 13 Em seguida queime no altar, como oferta para mim, as seguintes partes do animal: toda a gordura que cobre os miúdos, a melhor parte do fígado, os dois rins e a gordura que os cobre. 14 Mas queime fora do acampamento a carne do animal, o couro e as tripas. Essa é uma oferta para tirar os pecados dos sacerdotes.

15 — Depois pegue um dos carneiros, e Arão e os seus filhos porão as mãos na cabeça dele. 16 Mate o carneiro, pegue o sangue e com ele borrife os quatro lados do altar. 17 Corte o carneiro em pedaços, lave os miúdos e as pernas traseiras e ponha em cima da cabeça e dos outros pedaços. 18 Queime o carneiro inteiro em cima do altar como uma oferta de alimento. O cheiro dessa oferta me agrada.

19 — Depois pegue o outro carneiro, e Arão e os seus filhos porão as mãos na cabeça dele. 20 Mate esse carneiro e ponha uma parte do sangue dele na ponta da orelha direita de Arão e na ponta da orelha direita dos seus filhos. Também ponha o sangue sobre o dedo polegar da mão direita deles e sobre o dedão do pé direito; e com o resto do sangue borrife os quatro lados do altar. 21 Pegue um pouco do sangue que está no altar e o azeite de ungir e com eles borrife Arão, e as suas roupas, e os seus filhos, e as roupas deles. Então ele, os seus filhos e as roupas de todos eles estarão separados para mim. 22 Esse carneiro é oferecido para a ordenação dos sacerdotes. Retire a gordura desse carneiro, o rabo, a gordura que cobre os miúdos, a melhor parte do fígado, os dois rins com a gordura que os cobre e a coxa direita.

23 — Da cesta de pães sem fermento que foram oferecidos a mim, pegue um pão de cada tipo: um pão feito com azeite, outro pão sem azeite e um pão achatado. 24 Ponha esses pães nas mãos de Arão e dos filhos dele e faça com que eles os separem para mim como oferta especial. 25 Depois pegue os pães das suas mãos e queime em cima do altar, como alimento oferecido a mim. O cheiro dessa oferta me agrada. 26 Pegue o peito do carneiro e o separe para mim como oferta especial. Essa parte do animal ficará para você.

27 — Na cerimônia de ordenação de um sacerdote, o peito e a coxa do carneiro deverão ser separados para mim como oferta especial e deverão ser dados para os sacerdotes. 28 As ofertas de paz dos israelitas serão feitas assim, para sempre. O peito e a coxa do animal pertencem aos sacerdotes. Essa é a oferta do povo para mim, o Senhor.

29 — Depois da morte do sacerdote Arão, as suas roupas passarão para os seus filhos, e eles as usarão quando forem ordenados. 30 O filho de Arão que ficar no lugar dele como sacerdote e que entrar na Tenda da Minha Presença para servir no Lugar Santo deverá usar essas roupas sete dias.

31 — A carne do carneiro usado na ordenação de Arão e dos seus filhos deverá ser cozida num lugar sagrado. 32 Na entrada da Tenda da Minha Presença eles deverão comer essa carne com o pão que ficar na cesta. 33 Quando eles forem ordenados, comerão o que foi oferecido como sacrifício para tirar os seus pecados. Somente os sacerdotes poderão comer esse alimento, pois ele é sagrado. 34 Por isso a carne ou o pão que não forem comidos naquele mesmo dia deverão ser queimados. Não deverão ser comidos, pois são sagrados.

35 — Conforme eu mandei, faça durante sete dias as cerimônias para ordenar Arão e os seus filhos. 36 Cada dia ofereça um touro novo como sacrifício para conseguir o perdão dos pecados de todos. Com um sacrifício para tirar pecados você purificará o altar e depois o ungirá a fim de torná-lo santo. 37 Faça isso todos os dias, durante sete dias. Então o altar ficará completamente santo, e qualquer pessoa ou coisa que tocar nele sofrerá por causa do poder da sua santidade.

38 — Todos os dias, e para sempre, sacrifique dois carneirinhos de um ano. 39 Sacrifique um deles de manhã e o outro à tarde. 40 Junto com o primeiro carneirinho ofereça um quilo de farinha de trigo misturada com um litro de azeite. E, como oferta, derrame um litro de vinho. 41 À tarde ofereça outro carneirinho e junto com ele a mesma quantidade de farinha, azeite e vinho, como de manhã. Essa é uma oferta de alimento trazida para mim, o Senhor, e o seu cheiro me agrada. 42 E essa oferta a ser queimada deve ser oferecida para sempre na minha presença, na entrada da Tenda da Minha Presença. Ali eu me encontrarei com o meu povo e falarei com você. 43 Ali me encontrarei com o povo de Israel, e a minha glória fará com que esse lugar fique santo. 44 Eu farei com que a Tenda e o altar fiquem santos e separarei Arão e os seus filhos para me servirem como sacerdotes. 45 Morarei no meio do povo de Israel e serei o Deus deles. 46 Eles ficarão sabendo que eu, o Senhor, sou o Deus que os tirou do Egito para morar entre eles. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus deles.
