Davi, na sua aflição, recorre a Deus e confia nele

1 Até quando, Jeová! *Sl 44.24Esquecer-te-ás de mim para sempre?

Até quando me *Sl 89.46ocultarás o teu rosto?

2 Até quando *Sl 42.4encherei a minha alma de cuidados,

tendo diariamente *Sl 42.9tristeza no meu coração?

Até quando sobre mim se exaltará o meu inimigo?

3 *Sl 5.5Considera e responde-me, Jeová, Deus meu.

*Sl 18.28;1Sm 14.29;Ed 9.8;Jó 33.30Alumia os meus olhos para que não durma eu o sono da morte,

4 a fim de que não *Sl 12.4diga o meu inimigo: Prevaleci contra ele.

E os *Sl 25.2;38.16meus adversários não se alegrem, quando eu for abalado.

5 Mas, quanto a mim, *Sl 52.8confio na tua misericórdia;

*Sl 9.14regozije-se o meu coração na tua salvação.

1 How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?*13.1 chief…: or, overseer

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
