Exortação a louvar ao Senhor pela restauração e prosperidade de Jerusalém

1 Louvai a Jeová!

*Sl 135.3Bom é cantar louvores a nosso Deus,

pois é agradável; *Sl 33.1decoroso é o louvor.

2 Jeová *Sl 51.18;102.16edifica a Jerusalém,

*Sl 106.47;Dt 30.3;Is 11.12;56.8;Ez 39.28congrega os dispersos de Israel.

3 Ele sara os *Sl 34.18;Is 61.1quebrantados de coração

e *Jó 5.18;Is 30.26;Ez 34.16ata-lhes as feridas.

4 *Gn 15.5Conta o número das estrelas

e a todas elas *Is 40.26dá nome.

5 *Sl 48.1;145.3Grande é o nosso Senhor e mui poderoso;

o seu *Is 40.28entendimento é infinito.

dá em terra com os perversos.

com a harpa, cantai louvores a nosso Deus,

11 Jeová *Sl 149.4deleita-se nos que o temem,

*Sl 33.18nos que esperam na sua benignidade.

12 Louva, Jerusalém, a Jeová;

louva, Sião, ao teu Deus.

13 Pois ele fortaleceu as *Ne 3.3;7.3trancas das tuas portas;

*Sl 37.26abençoou os teus filhos dentro de ti.

14 Ele é quem *Sl 29.11;Is 54.13;60.17-18põe em paz os teus termos,

quem te farta de *Sl 81.16;Dt 32.14flor de farinha de trigo,

15 quem sobre a terra envia *Sl 148.5;Jó 37.12o seu mandado.

A sua *Sl 104.4palavra corre mui velozmente.

16 Ele dá a *Sl 148.8;Jó 37.6neve como lã

e espalha a *Jó 38.29geada como cinza.

17 Ele arroja o seu *Jó 37.10gelo em migalhas.

Quem pode resistir ao seu *Jó 37.9frio?

18 Ele *Sl 33.9;107.20;147.15envia a sua palavra e os derrete;

*Sl 107.25faz soprar o seu vento, e as águas correm.

19 Ele *Dt 33.3-4manifesta a sua palavra a Jacó

e os seus *Ml 4.4estatutos e os seus juízos, a Israel.

20 Ele não *Dt 4.7-8,32-34tem procedido assim com nação alguma;

e, quanto aos seus juízos, elas *Sl 79.6;Jr 10.25não os conhecem.

1 Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

2 The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

9 He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
