A malícia dos homens e a benignidade de Deus

1 *Rm 3.18Diz a Transgressão no coração do iníquo:

Não há medo de Deus diante dos seus olhos.

2 Porque ela o *Dt 29.19;Sl 10.11;49.18lisonjeia no seu coração, dizendo

que a sua iniquidade não há de ser descoberta e detestada.

Far-lhes-ás beber da *Sl 46.4;Jó 20.17;At 22.1torrente das tuas delícias.

9 Pois em ti está *Jr 2.13a fonte da vida;

na tua luz, veremos a luz.

10 Continua a tua benignidade *Jr 22.16aos que te conhecem,

e a tua *Sl 24.5justiça, aos retos de coração.

11 Não venha contra mim o pé de soberba.

E não me repila a mão dos iníquos.

12 Ali, estão caídos os que obram a iniquidade;

estão derrubados e não *Sl 140.10;Is 26.14se poderão levantar.

5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.*36.7 excellent: Heb. precious

8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.*36.8 abundantly…: Heb. watered

9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.*36.10 continue: Heb. draw out at length

11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
