Davi queixa-se da traição dos seus inimigos e busca o socorro de Deus

1 Feliz é aquele que *Sl 82.3-4;Pv 14.21atende ao fraco;

Jeová o livrará *Sl 27.5;37.19no dia do mal.

2 Jeová o *Sl 37.28guardará, lhe conservará a vida e far-lhe-á *Sl 37.22feliz na terra,

*Sl 27.12não o entregará à vontade dos seus inimigos.

3 Jeová o sustentará *Sl 6.6no leito da enfermidade.

Tu lhe amaciarás a cama na sua doença.

4 Disse eu da minha parte: Jeová, compadece-te de mim;

*Sl 6.2;103.3;147.3sara a minha alma, porque *Sl 51.4pequei contra ti.

5 *Sl 38.12Falam mal contra mim os meus inimigos, dizendo:

Quando morrerá e perecerá o seu nome?

6 Se algum deles vem visitar-me, *Sl 12.2;62.4;Pv 26.24-26diz falsidades;

o seu coração prepara-se para maldizer.

Saindo ele para fora, fala.

7 À uma, segredam contra mim todos os que me odeiam;

contra mim *Sl 56.5imaginam males, dizendo:

8 Alguma coisa ruim se lhe apega;

e, agora, que está de cama, não se *Sl 71.10-11levantará mais.

9 Até o meu *Jó 19.13,19;Sl 55.12-13,20;Jr 20.10;Mq 7.5;Jo 13.18amigo íntimo em quem confiava,

que comia o meu pão,

levantou contra mim o seu calcanhar.

10 Tu, porém, Jeová, compadece-te de mim e *Sl 3.3levanta-me,

para que eu lhes retribua.

11 Por isso, conheço que tu te *Sl 37.23;147.11deleitas em mim,

por não *Sl 25.2triunfar de mim o meu inimigo.

12 Quanto a mim, *Sl 18.32;37.17;63.8tu me susténs na minha integridade

e me colocas *Sl 21.6;Jó 36.7diante da tua face para sempre.

6 And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

10 But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
