Davi acha socorro contra os seus inimigos e louva a Deus

1 Compadece-te de mim, ó Deus, compadece-te de mim,

pois em ti se *Sl 2.12;34.22refugia a minha alma.

Sim, nas *Sl 17.8;36.7;63.7;91.4;Rt 2.12sombras das tuas asas me refugiarei,

até que *Is 26.20passem estas calamidades.

2 Clamarei ao Deus Altíssimo,

ao Deus que por mim tudo *Sl 138.8executa.

3 *Sl 18.16;144.5,7Enviará lá do céu e me salvará,

quando me ultrajar aquele que *Sl 56.2quer devorar-me. (Selá)

Deus enviará a sua *Sl 25.10;40.11misericórdia e a sua verdade.

tenho que deitar-me no meio daqueles que respiram chamas,

a saber, dos filhos dos homens, *Pv 30.14cujos dentes são lanças e setas,
