Davi louva a Deus pela vitória

1 Jeová, na tua força, *Sl 59.16-17se alegrará o rei!

E na tua salvação, quão grande será o seu júbilo?

2 O desejo do seu coração, *Sl 20.4;37.4lho concedeste,

e a petição dos seus lábios, não lha negaste. (Selá)

3 Pois o *Sl 59.10premunes de bênçãos excelentes;

pões-lhe na cabeça uma *2Sm 12.30coroa de ouro fino.

4 Pediu-te a vida e *Sl 61.6;133.3lha deste;

sim, *Sl 91.16duração de dias para todo o sempre.

5 *Sl 9.14;20.5Grande é a sua glória na tua salvação;

*Sl 8.5;96.6honra e majestade pões sobre ele.

6 *1Cr 17.27Pois fá-lo-ás mui feliz para sempre;

enchê-lo-ás *Sl 43.4de gozo na tua presença.

7 Pois o rei *Sl 125.1confia em Jeová

e, pela benignidade do Altíssimo, *Sl 112.6não será abalado.

8 A tua mão *Is 10.10alcançará todos os teus inimigos,

a tua destra alcançará todos os que te odeiam.

9 Torná-lo-ás qual *Ml 4.1fornalha ardente no tempo da tua ira;

Jeová, no seu furor, os *Lm 2.2consumirá,

e o *Sl 50.3fogo os devorará.

10 O seu fruto, destruí-lo-ás da terra,

e a sua *Sl 37.28semente, dentre os filhos dos homens.

11 Pois *Sl 2.1-3intentaram contra ti o mal;

*Sl 10.2urdiram uma trama, que não podem levar a efeito.

12 Porque lhes *Sl 18.40farás voltar as costas,

*Sl 7.12-13assestarás o teu arco contra o rosto deles.

13 Sê exaltado, Jeová, na tua força!

1 The king rejoices in your strength, Yahweh!

How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!

2 You have given him his heart’s desire,

and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

3 For you meet him with the blessings of goodness.

You set a crown of fine gold on his head.

4 He asked life of you and you gave it to him,

even length of days forever and ever.

5 His glory is great in your salvation.

You lay honor and majesty on him.

6 For you make him most blessed forever.

You make him glad with joy in your presence.

7 For the king trusts in Yahweh.

Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved.

8 Your hand will find out all of your enemies.

Your right hand will find out those who hate you.

9 You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger.

Yahweh will swallow them up in his wrath.

The fire shall devour them.

10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth,

their posterity from among the children of men.

11 For they intended evil against you.

They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.

12 For you will make them turn their back,

when you aim drawn bows at their face.

13 Be exalted, Yahweh, in your strength,

so we will sing and praise your power.
