1 Somente em Deus espera silenciosa a minha alma: Dele vem a minha salvação.

9 Os homens de classe baixa são vaidade, e os de alta estirpe são mentira; Na balança subirão, Juntos são mais leves do que a vaidade.

10 Não confieis na opressão, E não vos vanglorieis na rapina. Se as riquezas aumentarem, não ponhais nelas o coração.

11 Uma vez falou Deus, Duas vezes tenho ouvido isto: Que o poder pertence a Deus,

12 E que a ti, Senhor, pertence a benignidade; Porque tu retribuis a cada um segundo as suas obras.

10 Don’t trust in oppression.

Don’t become vain in robbery.

If riches increase,

don’t set your heart on them.

11 God has spoken once;

that power belongs to God.

12 Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness,

for you reward every man according to his work.
