1,2 Ο Κύριος έδωσε στο Μωυσή για τους Ισραηλίτες τις ακόλουθες οδηγίες:

Αν ένας άντρας ή μια γυναίκα κάνει τάμα να γίνει ναζηραίος, δηλαδή να αφιερωθεί στον Κύριο, 3 πρέπει να απέχει από το κρασί και από τα άλλα οινοπνευματώδη: Να μην πίνει ξύδι από κρασί ούτε ξύδι από άλλα οινοπνευματώδη ποτά, να μην πίνει κανένα ποτό φτιαγμένο από σταφύλια και να μην τρώει νωπά σταφύλια ή σταφίδες. 4 Όλο το διάστημα της αφιέρωσής του δεν θα τρώει τίποτε από τα παράγωγα του αμπελιού, ούτε ακόμα τους σπόρους του σταφυλιού ή τη φλούδα του. 5 Όλο το διάστημα για το οποίο έχει αφιερωθεί στον Κύριο δε θα κόψει τα μαλλιά του ή τα γένια του· πρέπει να είναι άγιος. Πρέπει να αφήσει να μεγαλώσουν τα μαλλιά του και τα γένια του. 6 Ούτε πρέπει να αγγίξει νεκρό σώμα σ’ αυτό το διάστημα. 7 Αν ο πατέρας του ή η μάνα του, ο αδερφός του ή η αδερφή του πεθάνουν, ο ναζηραίος δεν πρέπει να καταστεί ακάθαρτος αγγίζοντας το πτώμα τους· στο κεφάλι του έχει την ευχή της αφιέρωσης στο Θεό του. 8 Όλο το διάστημα της αφιέρωσής του πρέπει να είναι άγιος για τον Κύριο.

9 Αν πεθάνει ξαφνικά κανείς μπροστά στο ναζηραίο και μολυνθεί έτσι το κεφάλι του, που έχει την ευχή, θα περιμένει εφτά μέρες για να κόψει τα μαλλιά του ή τα γένια του και τότε θα είναι καθαρός. 10 Την όγδοη μέρα θα φέρει στον ιερέα δύο τρυγόνια ή δύο πιτσούνια, στην είσοδο της σκηνής του Μαρτυρίου. 11 Ο ιερέας θα προσφέρει το ένα ως θυσία εξιλέωσης και το άλλο θυσία ολοκαυτώματος, και θα κάνει γι’ αυτόν την τελετουργία της συγχώρησης από την αμαρτία του, εξαιτίας αυτού του νεκρού. Την ίδια μέρα ο ναζηραίος θα εξαγιάσει εκ νέου το κεφάλι του, 12 και θα αφιερωθεί και πάλι στον Κύριο για το διάστημα που είχε τάξει τον εαυτό του. Οι προηγούμενες μέρες δεν θα υπολογιστούν, γιατί η ευχή του είχε διακοπεί. Ως θυσία επανόρθωσης θα προσφέρει αρνί ενός χρόνου.

13 Αυτός είναι ο νόμος για τον ναζηραίο. Όταν τελειώσουν οι μέρες της αφιέρωσής του, θα έρθει στην είσοδο της σκηνής του Μαρτυρίου 14 και θα προσφέρει το δώρο του στον Κύριο· ένα αρνί ενός χρόνου χωρίς ελάττωμα ως θυσία ολοκαυτώματος, μια αρνάδα ενός χρόνου χωρίς ελάττωμα ως θυσία εξιλέωσης και ένα κριάρι χωρίς ελάττωμα ως θυσία κοινωνίας. 15 Ένα καλάθι με άζυμα ψωμιά από ψιλό αλεύρι, πίτες ζυμωμένες με λάδι, και άζυμα παξιμάδια αλειμμένα με λάδι, μαζί με την αναίμακτη προσφορά και τη σπονδή.

16 Ο ιερέας θα τα φέρει όλα αυτά ενώπιον του Κυρίου και θα προσφέρει τη θυσία εξιλέωσης και τη θυσία του ολοκαυτώματος. 17 Θα προσφέρει το κριάρι ως θυσία κοινωνίας στον Κύριο, και μαζί το καλάθι με τα ψωμιά, την αναίμακτη προσφορά του και τη σπονδή. 18 Ο ναζηραίος θα κόψει στην είσοδο της σκηνής του Μαρτυρίου τα μαλλιά του κεφαλιού του, που το είχε αφιερωμένο, και θα τα ρίξει στη φωτιά στην οποία καίγεται η θυσία κοινωνίας.

19 Ο ιερέας θα πάρει την ωμοπλάτη του κριαριού όταν θα έχει ψηθεί και από το καλάθι μια πίτα άζυμη κι ένα άζυμο παξιμάδι, και θα τα βάλει στα χέρια του ναζηραίου αφού θα έχει κόψει τα μαλλιά του. 20 Μετά ο ιερέας θα τα προσφέρει με την ειδική τελετουργική κίνηση στον Κύριο. Πρόκειται για ιερή προσφορά προς τον ιερέα, μαζί με το στήθος και τον μηρό, που σύμφωνα με το νόμο ανήκουν στον ιερέα. Μετά απ’ αυτά ο ναζηραίος μπορεί να πιει κρασί.

21 Αυτοί είναι οι κανονισμοί για όποιον κάνει τάμα να γίνει ναζηραίος. Αν όμως ένας ναζηραίος, εκτός από το δώρο που πρέπει να προσφέρει στον Κύριο για την αφιέρωσή του, υποσχεθεί μια προαιρετική προσφορά, τότε πρέπει να εκπληρώσει με ακρίβεια την υπόσχεσή του.

22 Ο Κύριος είπε στο Μωυσή: 23 «Όταν ο Ααρών και οι γιοι του θα ευλογούν το λαό του Ισραήλ, θα τους ορίσεις να λένε αυτά τα λόγια:

24 "Ο Κύριος να σε ευλογεί

και να σε φυλάει.

25 Ο Κύριος να σου δείξει την εύνοιά του

και να σ’ ελεήσει.

26 Ο Κύριος να σου συμπαραστέκεται

και να σου δίνει ειρήνη".

27 »Μ’ αυτόν τον τρόπο θα διακηρύττουν το όνομά μου στους Ισραηλίτες και θα τους θυμίζουν ότι είναι λαός μου, κι εγώ θα τους ευλογώ».

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the LORD:*6.2 to separate…: or, to make themselves Nazarites 3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried. 4 All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk.*6.4 separation: or, Nazariteship*6.4 vine…: Heb. vine of the wine 5 All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow. 6 All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body. 7 He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head.*6.7 consecration: Heb. separation 8 All the days of his separation he is holy unto the LORD. 9 And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it. 10 And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: 11 And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make an atonement for him, for that he sinned by the dead, and shall hallow his head that same day. 12 And he shall consecrate unto the LORD the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a trespass offering: but the days that were before shall be lost, because his separation was defiled.*6.12 be lost: Heb. fall

13 And this is the law of the Nazarite, when the days of his separation are fulfilled: he shall be brought unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: 14 And he shall offer his offering unto the LORD, one he lamb of the first year without blemish for a burnt offering, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish for a sin offering, and one ram without blemish for peace offerings, 15 And a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and wafers of unleavened bread anointed with oil, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings. 16 And the priest shall bring them before the LORD, and shall offer his sin offering, and his burnt offering: 17 And he shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also his meat offering, and his drink offering. 18 And the Nazarite shall shave the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of his separation, and put it in the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offerings. 19 And the priest shall take the sodden shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands of the Nazarite, after the hair of his separation is shaven: 20 And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine. 21 This is the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.

22 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, 24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. 27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.
