1 Αλληλούια! Αινείτε τον Κύριο!

Ψάλτε στον Κύριο τραγούδι νέο·

υμνήστε τον μες στων πιστών τη σύναξη!

2 Ας χαίρεται ο Ισραήλ

για το δημιουργό του,

ας νιώθουν για το βασιλιά τους αγαλλίαση

οι κάτοικοι της Σιών!

3 Το όνομά του ας αινούν

με κυκλικό χορό·

με τύμπανο και με κιθάρα

ας τον υμνούνε!

4 Γιατί ο Κύριος

με το λαό του ευφραίνεται,

τιμάει τους ταπεινούς

καθώς τους σώζει.

5 Ας αλαλάζουν οι πιστοί

μέσα στο θρίαμβο!

Στο στρώμα τους χαρούμενοι ας ψάλλουν!

6 Ας έχουνε στο στόμα τους τον ύμνο του Θεού

κι αμφίστομα σπαθιά στα χέρια τους!

7 Για να πάρουν εκδίκηση απ’ τους ειδωλολάτρες,

και ανταπόδοση απ’ τους λαούς·

8 τους βασιλιάδες τους ν’ αλυσοδέσουν,

και στα δεσμά να βάλουν τους ηγεμόνες τους.

9 Να εκτελέσουν εναντίον τους

την καταδίκη απ’ το Θεό,

όπως είναι γραμμένη.

Αυτή η τιμή ανήκει σ’ όλους τους πιστούς του.

7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
