2 Κύριε,

άκουσε τα λόγια μου·

στο θρήνο μου στρέψε την προσοχή σου.

3 Πρόσεξε την κραυγή μου για βοήθεια,

Θεέ μου και βασιλιά μου,

γιατί σ’ εσένα δέομαι.

4 Κύριε, το πρωί θ’ ακούσεις τη φωνή μου,

θυσία για σένα θα ετοιμάσω το πρωί,

και θα προσμένω απόκριση.

5 Γιατί δεν είσ’ εσύ Θεός

που την ασέβεια θέλει·

κοντά σου η πονηριά είν’ αδύνατο να φιλοξενηθεί.

6 Οι άφρονες δεν θα σταθούν αντίκρυ σου·

μίσησες όλους που την ανομία πράττουν.

7 Όλους τους ψεύτες τούς εξόντωσες·

αιμοχαρείς και ύπουλους

ο Κύριος τους απεχθάνεται.

8 Εγώ, χάρη στην άπειρη ευσπλαχνία σου

στον οίκο σου θα μπω,

μ’ ευσέβεια θα προσκυνήσω

στον άγιο σου ναό.

9 Οδήγησέ με, Κύριε, με τη δικαιοσύνη σου

ώστε να λυπηθούν οι εχθροί μου·

κοντά σου βόηθα με να ’ρθώ.

10 Στο στόμα τους η αλήθεια δεν στεριώνει,

μέσα τους έχουν διαφθορά·

τάφος ολάνοιχτος ο λάρυγγάς τους

και κολακεύει η γλώσσα τους.

11 Άσ’ τους, Θεέ, στην καταδίκη τους·

ας αποτύχουν τα σχέδιά τους!

Διώξ’ τους για τις πολλές τους ανομίες,

αφού στραφήκαν εναντίον σου.

12 Όσοι σ’ εσένα ελπίζουν

ας ευφραίνονται,

ας χαίρονται παντοτινά,

γιατί τους προστατεύεις·

και τ’ όνομά σου όσοι αγαπούν,

για σένανε ας καυχιούνται.

13 Τον δίκαιο εσύ, Κύριε, τον ευλογείς·

ωσάν ασπίδα η εύνοιά σου τον σκεπάζει.

1 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
