1 Com a púrpura violeta, a púrpura escarlate e o carmesim, fizeram-se as vestes de cerimônia para o serviço do santuário, e os ornamentos sagrados para Aarão, como o Senhor havia ordenado a Moisés.2 Fez-se o efod de ouro, de púrpura violeta e escarlate, de carmesim e linho fino retorcido.3 Reduziu-se o ouro a lâminas, e estas foram cortadas em fios para serem entrelaçados com a púrpura violeta e escarlate, o carmesim e o linho fino, fazendo disso um artístico bordado.4 Fizeram-se alças que o uniam, e aos quais era preso pelas duas extremidades.5 O cinto que passava sobre o efod, para prendê-lo, formava uma só peça com ele e era do mesmo trabalho: ouro, púrpura violeta e escarlate, carmesim e linho fino retorcido, como o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.6 Fizeram-se as pedras de ônix, engastadas em filigranas de ouro, nas quais foram gravados, à maneira de sinetes, os nomes dos filhos de Israel.7 Colocaram-se nas alças do efod essas pedras para serem um memorial dos filhos de Israel, como o Senhor o tinha ordenado a Moisés.8 Fez-se o peitoral, obra de arte como o efod, de ouro, púrpura violeta e escarlate, carmesim e linho fino retorcido. Era quadrado e dobrado em dois;9 seu comprimento era de um palmo e sua largura de um palmo; e era duplo.10 Adornou-se de quatro fileiras de pedras. Primeira fila: um sárdio, um topázio e uma esmeralda;11 segunda fileira: um rubi, uma safira, um diamante;12 terceira fileira: uma opala, uma ágata e uma ametista;13 quarta fileira: um crisólito, um ônix e um jaspe. Elas estavam engastadas em filigranas de ouro.14 E, correspondendo aos nomes dos filhos de Israel, eram em número de doze, e em cada uma estava gravado o nome de uma das doze tribos, à maneira de um sinete.15 Fizeram-se umas correntinhas de ouro puro para o peitoral, entrelaçadas em forma de cordão,16 e também dois engastes de ouro e duas argolas de ouro que se fixaram nas duas extremidades do peitoral.17 Foram os dois cordões de ouro passados nas duas argolas, nas extremidades do peitoral,18 e presas as duas pontas dos dois cordões aos dois engastes, pondo-os para o lado da frente nas duas alças do efod.19 Fizeram-se ainda duas argolas de ouro que se fixaram às duas extremidades do peitoral, na orla interior que se aplica contra o efod.20 E enfim duas outras argolas de ouro, que se fixaram na parte dianteira, por baixo das duas alças do efod, no lugar da junção, na cintura do efod.21 Prenderam-se as argolas às do efod por meio de uma fita de púrpura violeta, a fim de fixar o peitoral na cintura do efod, de sorte que não pudesse separar-se dele. Foi assim que o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.22 Fez-se o manto do efod, tecido inteiramente de púrpura violeta.23 Havia no meio uma abertura para a cabeça, como a de um corselete; a beirada estava protegida por uma orla, para que não se rompesse.24 A orla inferior do manto foi adornada com romãs de púrpura violeta e escarlate, de carmesim e linho fino retorcido.25 Fizeram-se campainhas de ouro puro que se colocaram entre as romãs em toda a orla inferior do manto:26 uma campainha, uma romã, outra campainha, outra romã, em toda a orla inferior do manto, para o serviço, como o Senhor o tinha ordenado a Moisés.27 Fizeram-se túnicas de linho, tecidas, para Aarão e seus filhos;28 o turbante de linho, e as tiaras de linho à guisa de ornato; os calções de linho fino retorcido;29 a cintura de linho retorcido, bordada de púrpura violeta, púrpura escarlate e carmesim, como o Senhor o tinha ordenado a Moisés.30 Foi feita a lâmina de ouro puro, o diadema sagrado, onde foi gravado, como se grava um sinete: consagrado a Javé.31 Prendeu-se com uma fita de púrpura violeta pela frente, na parte superior do turbante, como o Senhor havia ordenado a Moisés.32 Assim foram terminados todos os trabalhos do tabernáculo, da tenda de reunião. Os israelitas tinham executado tudo em conformidade com as ordens dadas pelo Senhor a Moisés.33 Apresentaram o tabernáculo a Moisés: a tenda e todo o seu mobiliário, seus colchetes, suas tábuas, suas travessas, suas colunas, seus pedestais;34 a coberta de peles de carneiro tintas de vermelho, a coberta de peles de golfinho, o véu de separação,35 a arca da aliança com seus varais e sua tampa;36 a mesa com todos os seus utensílios e os pães da proposição;37 o candelabro de ouro puro, suas lâmpadas, as lâmpadas que se deviam dispor nele, todos os seus acessórios e o óleo para o candelabro;38 o altar de ouro, o óleo de unção, o perfume aromático e a cortina da entrada da tenda;39 o altar de bronze, sua grelha de bronze, seus varais e todos os seus utensílios; a bacia com seu pedestal; as cortinas do átrio, suas colunas, seus pedestais, a cortina da porta do átrio,40 seus cordões e suas estacas e todos os utensílios necessários ao culto do tabernáculo para a tenda de reunião;41 as vestes litúrgicas para o serviço do santuário, os ornamentos sagrados para o sacerdote Aarão e as vestes de seus filhos para as funções sacerdotais.42 Os israelitas tinham executado toda essa obra conformando-se exatamente às ordens dadas pelo Senhor a Moisés.43 Moisés examinou todo o trabalho, e averiguou que ele tinha sido executado segundo as ordens do Senhor. E Moisés os abençoou.

1 And of the blue and purple and scarlet, they made the clothing of the ministry, to minister in the sanctuary, and in the same manner they made the holy garments for Aaron; as the LORD had commanded Moses.2 He also made the ephod [of] gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen.3 And they beat the gold into thin plates and cut [it into] wires to work [it] in the blue and in the purple and in the scarlet and in the fine linen, [with] cunning work.4 They made the shoulder pieces for it to couple [it] together; by the two edges was it coupled together.5 And the special girdle of his ephod, that [was] over it, [was] of the same, according to the work thereof: [of] gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen as the LORD had commanded Moses.6 And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in settings of gold, graven, as seals are graven, with the names of the sons of Israel.7 And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod [that they should be] stones for a memorial to the sons of Israel, as the LORD had commanded Moses.8 He also made the pectoral [of] cunning work, like the work of the ephod [of] gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen.9 It was square; they made the pectoral double; a span [was] the length thereof and a span the breadth thereof, [being] doubled.10 And they set in it four orders of stones. The order was a ruby, an emerald, and a chrysolite: this [was] the first order.11 The second order, a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a diamond.12 The third order, a topaz, a turquoise, and an amethyst.13 And the fourth order, a tarshish ([or beryl]), an onyx, and a jasper; [they were] set and inclosed in their settings of gold.14 The stones [were] in agreement with the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, in agreement with their names, [like] the engravings of a seal, each one in agreement with his name, according to the twelve tribes.15 They also made the small chains upon the pectoral [of] wreathen work [of] pure gold.16 In the same manner they made two settings [of] gold and two gold rings and put the two rings in the two ends of the pectoral.17 And they put the two wreathen chains of gold in those two rings on the ends of the pectoral.18 And the two ends of the two wreathen chains they fastened in the two settings, which they put on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, on the front part of it.19 And they made two rings of gold and put [them] on the two ends of the pectoral upon the border of it, which was on the lower side of the ephod.20 And they made two [other] golden rings and put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath toward the front part of it, in the front of its coupling, above the special girdle of the ephod.21 And they bound the pectoral by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue lace, that it might be above the special girdle of the ephod and that the pectoral might not be loosed from the ephod, as the LORD had commanded Moses.22 And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all [of] blue,23 with its collar in the midst of the robe, as the collar of a habergeon, [with] a band round about the collar that it should not rend.24 And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates [of] blue, purple, scarlet, [and] twined [linen].25 They also made the bells [of] pure gold and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates;26 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister [in], as the LORD commanded Moses.27 And they made the coats [of] fine linen [of] woven work for Aaron and for his sons,28 likewise the mitre [of] fine linen and the decorations of the tiaras [of] fine linen and the linen underwear [of] fine twined linen,29 also the girdle [of] fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet [of] needlework, as the LORD commanded Moses.30 And they made the open flower, the crown of holiness, [of] pure gold and wrote upon it a writing, [like to] the engravings of a seal, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD.31 And they tied unto it a lace of blue to fasten [it] over the mitre, as the LORD had commanded Moses.32 Thus was all the work of the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the testimony finished, and the sons of Israel did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so did they.33 And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tabernacle and all its furniture, its hooks, its boards, its bars and its pillars and its sockets,34 and the covering of rams' skins dyed red and the covering of badgers' skins and the veil of the curtain,35 the ark of the testimony and its staves, and the seat of reconciliation,36 the table [and] all its vessels, and the showbread,37 the pure candlestick [with] its lamps, [even with] the lamps to be set in order, and all its vessels and the oil for light,38 the golden altar and the anointing oil and the aromatic incense and the hanging for the tabernacle door.39 The brasen altar with its grate of brass, its staves, and all its vessels, and the laver and its base.40 The hangings of the court, its pillars and its sockets, and the hanging for the court gate, its cords and its stakes, and all the vessels of the service of the tabernacle, for the tabernacle of the testimony,41 the clothing of service for ministry in the sanctuary, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest and his sons' garments, to minister in the priesthood.42 According to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so the sons of Israel made all the work.43 And Moses looked upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it; and Moses blessed them.:
