1 Deus está

na congregação dos poderosos;

julga no meio dos deuses.

2 Até quando julgareis injustamente,

e aceitareis

3 Fazei justiça

ao pobre e ao órfão;

justificai

o aflito e o necessitado.

4 Livrai o pobre

e o necessitado;

tirai-os das mãos dos ímpios.

5 Eles não conhecem,

nem entendem;

andam em trevas;

todos os fundamentos

da terra vacilam.

6 Eu disse: Vós sois deuses,

e todos vós filhos do Altíssimo.

7 Todavia morrereis como homens,

e caireis

como qualquer

dos príncipes.

8 Levanta-te, ó Deus, julga a terra,

pois

tu possuis todas as nações.

Selah. 3 Judge the poor and the fatherless, do justice to the afflicted and the destitute; 4 Rescue the poor and needy, deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. 5 They know not, neither do they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are moved.

6 I have said, Ye are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High; 7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. 8 Arise, O God* judge the earth; for thou shalt inherit all the nations.
