2 Até quando, Senhor, de todo vos esquecereis de mim? Por quanto tempo ainda desviareis de mim os vossos olhares?

3 Até quando aninharei a angústia na minha alma, e, dia após dia, a tristeza no coração?

4 Até quando se levantará o meu inimigo contra mim? Olhai! Ouvi-me, Senhor, ó meu Deus!

5 Iluminai meus olhos com vossa luz, para eu não adormecer na morte, para que meu inimigo não venha a dizer: "Venci-o";

6 e meus adversários não triunfem no momento de minha queda, eu que confiei em vossa misericórdia. Antes possa meu coração regozijar-se em vosso socorro! Então cantarei ao Senhor pelos benefícios que me concedeu.
