Of Asaph. 2 \83:1\O God, do not keep quiet: let your lips be open and take no rest, O God.3 \83:2\For see! those who make war on you are out of control; your haters are lifting up their heads.4 \83:3\They have made wise designs against your people, talking together against those whom you keep in a secret place.5 \83:4\They have said, Come, let us put an end to them as a nation; so that the name of Israel may go out of man's memory.6 \83:5\For they have all come to an agreement; they are all joined together against you:7 \83:6\The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagarites;8 \83:7\Gebal and Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines and the people of Tyre;9 \83:8\Assur is joined with them; they have become the support of the children of Lot. (Selah.)10 \83:9\Do to them what you did to the Midianites; what you did to Sisera and Jabin, at the stream of Kishon:11 \83:10\Who came to destruction at En-dor; their bodies became dust and waste.12 \83:11\Make their chiefs like Oreb and Zeeb; and all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna:13 \83:12\Who have said, Let us take for our heritage the resting-place of God.14 \83:13\O my God, make them like the rolling dust; like dry stems before the wind.15 \83:14\As fire burning a wood, and as a flame causing fire on the mountains,16 \83:15\So go after them with your strong wind, and let them be full of fear because of your storm.17 \83:16\Let their faces be full of shame; so that they may give honour to your name, O Lord.18 \83:17\Let them be overcome and troubled for ever; let them be put to shame and come to destruction;19 \83:18\So that men may see that you only, whose name is Yahweh, are Most High over all the earth.

1 Ey Tanrı, susma, 2 Sessiz, hareketsiz kalma!2 Bak, düşmanların kargaşa çıkarıyor, 2 Senden nefret edenler boy gösteriyor.3 Halkına karşı kurnazlık peşindeler, 2 Koruduğun insanlara dolap çeviriyorlar.4 ‹‹Gelin, bu ulusun kökünü kazıyalım›› diyorlar, 2 ‹‹İsrailin adı bir daha anılmasın!››5 Hepsi sözbirliği etmiş, düzen kuruyor, 2 Sana karşı anlaşmaya vardı:6 Edomlular, İsmaililer, 2 Moavlılar, Hacerliler,7 Geval, Ammon, Amalek, 2 Filist ve Sur halkı.8 Asur da onlara katıldı, 2 Lutoğullarına güç verdiler. |iSela9 Onlara Midyana, 2 Kişon Vadisinde Siseraya ve Yavine yaptığını yap:10 Onlar Eyn-Dorda yok oldular, 2 Toprak için gübreye döndüler.11 Onların soylularına Orev ve Zeeve yaptığını, 2 Beylerine Zevah ve Salmunnaya yaptığını yap.12 Onlar: ‹‹Gelin, sahiplenelim 2 Tanrının otlaklarını›› demişlerdi.13 Ey Tanrım, savrulan toza, 2 Rüzgarın sürüklediği saman çöpüne çevir onları!14 Orman yangını gibi, 2 Dağları tutuşturan alev gibi,15 Fırtınanla kovala, 2 Kasırganla dehşete düşür onları!16 Utançla kapla yüzlerini, 2 Sana yönelsinler, ya RAB.17 Sonsuza dek utanç ve dehşet içinde kalsınlar, 2 Rezil olup yok olsunlar.18 Senin adın RAB'dir, 2 Anlasınlar yalnız senin yeryüzüne egemen en yüce Tanrı olduğunu.
