When he made a change in his behaviour before Abimelech, who sent him away, and he went. 2 \34:1\I will be blessing the Lord at all times; his praise will be ever in my mouth.3 \34:2\My soul will say great things of the Lord: the poor in spirit will have knowledge of it and be glad.4 \34:3\O give praise to the Lord with me; let us be witnesses together of his great name.5 \34:4\I was searching for the Lord, and he gave ear to my voice, and made me free from all my fears.6 \34:5\Let your eyes be turned to him and you will have light, and your faces will not be shamed.7 \34:6\This poor man's cry came before the Lord, and he gave him salvation from all his troubles.8 \34:7\The angel of the Lord is ever watching over those who have fear of him, to keep them safe.9 \34:8\By experience you will see that the Lord is good; happy is the man who has faith in him.10 \34:9\Keep yourselves in the fear of the Lord, all you his saints; for those who do so will have no need of anything.11 \34:10\The young lions are in need and have no food; but those who are looking to the Lord will have every good thing.12 \34:11\Come, children, give attention to me; I will be your teacher in the fear of the Lord.13 \34:12\What man has a love of life, and a desire that his days may be increased so that he may see good?14 \34:13\Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from words of deceit.15 \34:14\Be turned from evil, and do good; make a search for peace, desiring it with all your heart.16 \34:15\The eyes of the Lord are on the upright, and his ears are open to their cry.17 \34:16\The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to take away the memory of them from the earth.18 \34:17\The cry of the upright comes before the Lord, and he takes them out of all their troubles.19 \34:18\The Lord is near the broken-hearted; he is the saviour of those whose spirits are crushed down.20 \34:19\Great are the troubles of the upright: but the Lord takes him safely out of them all.21 \34:20\He keeps all his bones: not one of them is broken.22 \34:21\Evil will put an end to the sinner, and those who are haters of righteousness will come to destruction.23 \34:22\The Lord will be the saviour of the souls of his servants, and no one who has faith in him will be put to shame.

Vau.] L'a-t-on regardé? on en est illuminé, et leurs faces ne sont point confuses.6 [Zain.] Cet affligé a crié, et l'Eternel l'a exaucé, et l'a délivré de toutes ses détresses.7 [Heth.] L'Ange de l'Eternel se campe tout autour de ceux qui le craignent, et les garantit.8 [Teth.] Savourez, et voyez que l'Eternel est bon; ô que bienheureux est l'homme qui se confie en lui!9 [Jod.] Craignez l'Eternel vous ses Saints; car rien ne manque à ceux qui le craignent.10 [Caph.] Les lionceaux ont disette, ils ont faim; mais ceux qui cherchent l'Eternel n'auront besoin d'aucun bien.11 [Lamed.] Venez, enfants, écoutez-moi; je vous enseignerai la crainte de l'Eternel.12 [Mem.] Qui est l'homme qui prenne plaisir à vivre, [et] qui aime la longue vie pour voir du bien?13 [Nun.] Garde ta langue de mal, et tes lèvres de parler avec tromperie.14 [Samech.] Détourne-toi du mal, et fais le bien; cherche la paix et la poursuis.15 [Hajin.] Les yeux de l'Eternel sont sur les justes, et ses oreilles sont attentives à leur cri.16 [Pe.] La face de l'Eternel est contre ceux qui font le mal, pour exterminer de la terre leur mémoire.17 [Tsade.] Quand les justes crient, l'Eternel les exauce, et il les délivre de toutes leurs détresses.18 [Koph.] L'Eternel [est] près de ceux qui ont le cœur déchiré [par la douleur], et il délivre ceux qui ont l'esprit abattu.19 [Res.] Le juste a des maux en grand nombre, mais l'Eternel le délivre de tous.20 [Scin.] Il garde tous ses os, [et] pas un n'en est cassé.21 [Thau.] La malice fera mourir le méchant; et ceux qui haïssent le juste seront détruits.22 [Pe.] L'Eternel rachète l'âme de ses serviteurs; et aucun de ceux qui se confient en lui, ne sera détruit.
