Of David.\2 \54:1\When the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Is not David keeping himself secret among us? 3 \54:1\Let your name be my salvation, O God; let my cause be judged by your strength.4 \54:2\Let my prayer come before you, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.5 \54:3\For men who are going after me have come out against me, violent men are purposing to take my soul; they have not put God before their eyes. (Selah.)6 \54:4\See, God is my helper: the Lord is the great supporter of my soul.7 \54:5\Let the evil works of my haters come back on them again; let them be cut off by your good faith.8 \54:6\Freely will I make my offerings to you; I will give praise to your name, O Lord, for it is good.9 \54:7\Because it has been my saviour from all my trouble; and my eyes have seen the punishment of my haters.

Ô Dieu, délivre-moi par ton Nom, et me fais justice par ta puissance.2 Ô Dieu, écoute ma requête, [et] prête l'oreille aux paroles de ma bouche.3 Car des étrangers se sont élevés contre moi, et des gens terribles, qui n'ont point Dieu devant leurs yeux, cherchent ma vie; Sélah.4 Voilà, Dieu m'accorde son secours; le Seigneur [est] de ceux qui soutiennent mon âme.5 Il fera retourner le mal sur ceux qui m'épient; détruis-les selon ta vérité.6 Je te ferai sacrifice de bon cœur; Eternel! je célébrerai ton Nom, parce qu'il est bon.7 Car il m'a délivré de toute détresse : et mon œil a vu [ce qu'il voulait voir] en mes ennemis.
