Of David. 2 \6:1\O Lord, do not be bitter with me in your wrath; do not send punishment on me in the heat of your passion.3 \6:2\Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am wasted away: make me well, for even my bones are troubled.4 \6:3\My soul is in bitter trouble; and you, O Lord, how long?5 \6:4\Come back, O Lord, make my soul free; O give me salvation because of your mercy.6 \6:5\For in death there is no memory of you; in the underworld who will give you praise?7 \6:6\The voice of my sorrow is a weariness to me; all the night I make my bed wet with weeping; it is watered by the drops flowing from my eyes.8 \6:7\My eyes are wasting away with trouble; they are becoming old because of all those who are against me.9 \6:8\Go from me, all you workers of evil; for the Lord has given ear to the voice of my weeping.10 \6:9\The Lord has given ear to my request; the Lord has let my prayer come before him.11 \6:10\Let all those who are against me be shamed and deeply troubled; let them be turned back and suddenly put to shame.

Eternel! ne me reprends point en ta colère, et ne me châtie point en ta fureur.2 Eternel, aie pitié de moi, car je suis sans aucune force; guéris-moi, ô Eternel! car mes os sont épouvantés.3 Même mon âme est fort troublée; et toi, ô Eternel! jusques à quand?4 Eternel! retourne-toi, garantis mon âme, délivre-moi pour l'amour de ta gratuité.5 Car il n'est point fait mention de toi en la mort; [et] qui est-ce qui te célébrera dans le sépulcre?6 Je me suis épuisé à force de soupirer; je baigne mon lit toutes les nuits, je le trempe de mes larmes.7 Mon regard est tout défait de chagrin, il est envieilli à cause de tous ceux qui me pressent.8 Retirez-vous loin de moi, vous tous ouvriers d'iniquité, car l'Eternel a entendu la voix de mes pleurs.9 L'Eternel a entendu ma supplication, l'Eternel a reçu ma requête.10 Tous mes ennemis seront honteux et épouvantés; ils s'en retourneront, ils seront confus en un moment.
