25 Perto da meia-noite, Paulo e Silas oravam e cantavam louvores a Deus, e os outros prisioneiros os escutavam.
26 E, repentinamente houve um grande terremoto, a ponto de serem abaladas as fundações da prisão, e imediatamente todas as portas foram abertas, e as correntes de todos foram soltas.
27 E acordando o carcereiro de seu sono e vendo as portas da prisão abertas, desembainhou sua espada, ele queria suicidar-se, supondo que os prisioneiros tivessem fugido.
28 Mas Paulo gritou em alta voz, dizendo: Não te faças nenhum mal, porque estamos todos aqui.
29 Então ele pediu uma luz, e entrou, e veio tremendo, prostrou-se diante de Paulo e Silas,
30 e, conduzindo-os para fora, disse: Senhores, o que eu devo fazer para ser salvo?
31 E eles disseram: Crê no Senhor Jesus Cristo e serás salvo, tu e a tua casa.
32 E lhe falaram a palavra do Senhor, e a todos os que estavam em sua casa.
33 E ele, tomando-os naquela mesma hora da noite, lavou-lhes as feridas, e em seguida ele foi batizado, e todos os seus.
34 Então, levando-os à sua casa, ele colocou alimento diante deles e regozijou-se, crendo em Deus com toda a sua casa.
25 And toward midnight Paul and Silas prayed and praised God in a hymn. And the prisoners listened to them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened and all the bonds were loosened.
27 And being awakened, and seeing the doors of the prison being open, drawing a sword, the jailer was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.
28 But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.
29 Then asking for a light he rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.
30 And leading them outside, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and your household.
32 And they spoke the Word of the Lord to him, and to all who were in his household.
33 And taking them in that hour of the night, he washed from [their] stripes. And he was baptized, he and all his, immediately.
34 And bringing them up to the house, he set a table before [them] and rejoiced, believing in God with all his household.
