1 "Assim diz o Senhor ao seu ungido: a Ciro, cuja mão direita seguro com firmeza para subjugar as nações diante dele e arrancar a armadura de seus reis, para abrir portas diante dele, de modo que as portas não estejam trancadas:2 Eu irei adiante de você e aplainarei montes; derrubarei portas de bronze e romperei trancas de ferro.3 Darei a você os tesouros das trevas, riquezas armazenadas em locais secretos, para que você saiba que eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, que o convoca pelo nome.4 Por amor de meu servo Jacó, de meu escolhido Israel, eu o convoco pelo nome e concedo-lhe um título de honra, embora você não me reconheça.5 Eu sou o Senhor, e não há nenhum outro; além de mim não há Deus. Eu o fortalecerei, ainda que você não tenha me admitido,6 de forma que do nascente ao poente saibam todos que não há ninguém além de mim. Eu sou o Senhor, e não há nenhum outro.7 Eu formo a luz e crio as trevas, promovo a paz e causo a desgraça; eu, o Senhor, faço todas essas coisas. "8 "Vocês, céus elevados, façam chover justiça; derramem-na as nuvens. Abra-se a terra, brote a salvação, cresça a retidão com ela; eu, o Senhor, a criei. "9 "Ai daquele que contende com seu Criador, daquele que não passa de um caco entre os cacos no chão. Acaso o barro pode dizer ao oleiro: ‘O que você está fazendo? ’ Será que a obra que você faz pode dizer: ‘Ele não tem mãos? ’10 Ai daquele que diz a seu pai: ‘O que você gerou? ’, ou à sua mãe: ‘O que você deu à luz? ’ "11 "Assim diz o Senhor, o Santo de Israel, o seu Criador: A respeito de coisas vindouras, você me pergunta sobre meus filhos, ou me dá ordens sobre o trabalho de minhas mãos?12 Fui eu que fiz a terra e nela criei a humanidade. Minhas próprias mãos estenderam os céus; eu dispus o seu exército de estrelas.13 Eu levantarei esse homem em minha retidão: Farei direitos todos os seus caminhos. Ele reconstruirá minha cidade e libertará os exilados, sem exigir pagamento nem qualquer recompensa, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. "14 Assim diz o Senhor: "Os produtos do Egito e as mercadorias da Etiópia, e aqueles altos sabeus, passarão para o seu lado e lhe pertencerão, ó Jerusalém; eles a seguirão, acorrentados, passarão para o seu lado. Eles se inclinarão diante de vocês e implorarão a você, dizendo: ‘Certamente Deus está com você, e não há outro; não há nenhum outro Deus’ ".15 Verdadeiramente tu és um Deus que se esconde, ó Deus e Salvador de Israel.16 Todos os que fazem ídolos serão envergonhados e constrangidos; juntos cairão em constrangimento.17 Mas Israel será salvo pelo Senhor com uma salvação eterna; vocês jamais serão envergonhados ou constrangidos, por toda a eternidade.18 Pois assim diz o Senhor, que criou os céus, ele é Deus; que moldou a terra e a fez, ele a fundou; ele não a criou para estar vazia, mas a formou para ser habitada; ele diz: "Eu sou o Senhor, e não há nenhum outro.19 Não falei secretamente, de algum lugar numa terra de trevas; eu não disse aos descendentes de Jacó: ‘Procurem-me à toa’. Eu, o SENHOR, falo a verdade; eu anuncio o que é certo".20 "Ajuntem-se e venham; reúnam-se, vocês, fugitivos das nações. Ignorantes são aqueles que levam de um lado para outro imagens de madeira, que oram a deuses que não podem salvar.21 Declarem o que deve ser, apresentem provas. Que eles juntamente se aconselhem. Quem há muito predisse isto, quem o declarou desde o passado distante? Não fui eu, o Senhor? E não há outro Deus além de mim, um Deus justo e salvador; não há outro além de mim.22 "Voltem-se para mim e sejam salvos, todos vocês, confins da terra; pois eu sou Deus, e não há nenhum outro.23 Por mim mesmo eu jurei, a minha boca pronunciou com toda integridade uma palavra que não será revogada: Diante de mim todo joelho se dobrará; junto a mim toda língua jurará.24 Dirão a meu respeito: ‘Somente no Senhor estão a justiça e a força’. " Todos os que o odeiam virão a ele e serão envergonhados.25 Mas no Senhor todos os descendentes de Israel serão considerados justos e exultarão.

1 This is WHAT JEHOVAH SAYS ABOUT CYRUS, his anointed one: »I have held him by his right hand so he could conquer the nations ahead of him; that he could strip kings of their power, and open doors ahead of him so that the gates would not be shut.2 »I will go ahead of you, Cyrus. I will smooth out the rough places. I will break down the copper doors and cut through the iron bars.3 »I will give you treasures from dark places and hidden stockpiles. You will know that I, Jehovah the God of Israel, have called you by name.4 »For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen one, I have called you by name. I have given you a title of honor, although you do not know me.5 »I AM JEHOVAH AND THERE IS NO OTHER. THERE IS NO OTHER GOD BESIDES ME. I will strengthen you, although you do not know me.6 »From the east to the west sunrise to sunset people will know that there is no God except me. I am Jehovah, and there is no other.7 »I make light and create darkness. I make blessings and create disasters. I, Jehovah, do all these things.8 »Rain down from above, you heavens, and pour down righteousness, you skies. Let the earth open. Let salvation and righteousness sprout. Let them spring up for I Jehovah have created them.«9 »Does a clay pot dare argue with its maker, a pot that is like all the others? Does the clay ask the potter what he is doing? Does the pot complain that its maker has no skill?10 »‘Do we dare say to our parents: ‘Why did you make me like this?’11 Jehovah, the Holy God of Israel, the one who shapes the future says: »You have no right to question me about my children or to tell me what I ought to do!12 »I am the one who made the earth. I created human beings to live there. With my power I stretched out the heavens. I control the sun, the moon, and the stars.13 »I have stirred Cyrus to action to fulfill my purpose and put things right. I will straighten out every road that he travels. He will rebuild my city, Jerusalem, and set my captive people free. No one has hired him or bribed him to do this.« Jehovah of Hosts has spoken.14 This is what Jehovah says: »The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, and those tall Sabeans will come over to you and will be yours. They will walk behind you. They will come to you in chains. They will bow down before you and plead with you. They will say: ‘God is with you and there is no other. There is no other god!’15 Truly you are a God who hides himself, O God and Savior of Israel.16 The makers of idols will be put to shame and disgraced. They will go off into disgrace together.17 Jehovah will save Israel with an everlasting salvation. You will never be put to shame or disgraced, to ages everlasting.18 Jehovah says: »Who created the heavens? He who is God. He fashioned and made the earth. He founded it and he did not create it to be empty but formed it to be inhabited.« He says: »I am Jehovah, and there is no other.19 »I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness. I have not said to Jacob’s descendants: Seek me in vain. I, Jehovah, speak the truth; I declare what is right.20 »Come here, you refugees from the nations. Ignorant people carry wooden idols and pray to gods that cannot save anyone.21 »Speak and present your case. Yes, let them consult one another. Who revealed this in the distant past and predicted it long ago? Was it not I, Jehovah? There is no other God except me. There is no other righteous God and Savior besides me.22 »Turn to me and be saved! Turn to me all who live at the ends of the earth for I am God, and there is no other.23 »I have bound myself with an oath. A word has gone out from my righteous mouth that will not be recalled. Every knee will bow to me and every tongue will swear allegiance.24 »It will be said of me: ‘Certainly, righteousness and strength are found in Jehovah alone. All who are angry with him will come to him and be ashamed.25 »‘All the descendants of Israel will be declared righteous, and they will praise Jehovah.’«
