O reinado do ungido de Jeová

1 Por que se amotinam *Sl 46.6;83.2-5;At 4.25-26as nações,

e os povos *Sl 21.11tramam em vão?

2 Insurgem-se *Sl 48.4-6os reis da terra,

e os príncipes conspiram

*Sl 74.18,23contra Jeová e contra o seu ungido, dizendo:

3 *Jr 5.5Rompamos as suas ataduras

e lancemos de nós as suas cordas.

4 Aquele que está sentado nos céus *Sl 37.13se rirá;

o Senhor *Sl 59.8zombará deles.

5 Então, lhes falará na sua *Sl 21.8-9;76.7ira

e, no seu furor, os *Sl 78.49-50confundirá.

6 Eu, porém, tenho estabelecido o meu *Sl 45.6rei

em Sião, meu *Sl 48.1-2santo monte.

7 Falarei acerca do decreto:

Jeová disse-me: Tu és *At 13.33;Hb 1.5;5.5meu filho;

eu, hoje, te gerei.

8 Pede-me, que *Sl 21.1-2te darei *Sl 22.27as nações por tua herança

e as *Sl 65.2;67.7extremidades da terra, por tua possessão.

9 Tu as *Sl 110.5-6quebrarás com uma vara de ferro,

*Sl 28.5;52.5;72.4fá-las-ás em pedaços, como vaso de oleiro.

10 Agora, pois, ó reis, fazei-vos *Pv 8.15;27.11prudentes;

deixai-vos *Sl 32.8instruir, juízes da terra.

11 Servi a Jeová com *Sl 5.7temor

e regozijai-vos *Sl 119.119-120com tremor.

12 Beijai *Sl 2.7o filho, para que não se ire,

e pereçais no caminho,

Porque, em breve, se acenderá a sua ira.

Felizes são todos os que nele *Sl 5.11;34.22se refugiam.

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.*2.5 vex: or, trouble

6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.*2.6 set: Heb. anointed*2.6 upon…: Heb. upon Zion, the hill of my holiness

7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.*2.7 the decree: or, for a decree

8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
