1 No teu furor, Jeová, *Sl 6.1não me repreendas,

Nem, na tua cólera, me castigues.

2 Pois as tuas *Jó 6.4setas se cravam em mim,

e a *Sl 32.4tua mão sobre mim se descarrega.

3 Não há *Is 1.6parte sã na minha carne *Sl 102.10por causa da tua indignação;

nada há são *Sl 6.2;31.10;Jó 33.19nos meus ossos por causa do meu pecado.

4 Porquanto *Sl 40.12;Ed 9.6as minhas iniquidades se elevam por cima da minha cabeça;

elas, como carga pesada, excedem as minhas forças.

5 As minhas chagas tornam-se fétidas e purulentas,

*Sl 69.5por causa da minha loucura.

6 *Sl 35.14Sinto-me acabrunhado e muito abatido;

e em cuja boca não há com que replicar.

tu *Sl 17.6responderás, Senhor, Deus meu.

16 Porque eu dizia: Não suceda que eles se regozijem sobre mim.

Quando resvala o meu pé, *Sl 35.26eles se engrandecem contra mim.

17 Pois *Sl 35.15eu estou prestes a tropeçar,

*Sl 13.2e a minha dor está sempre diante de mim.

18 Porquanto *Sl 32.5declararei a minha iniquidade;

1 O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

2 For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.*38.3 rest: Heb. peace, or, health

4 For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

5 My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

7 For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

8 I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

9 Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

10 My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.*38.10 is gone…: Heb. is not with me

12 They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

13 But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

14 Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

16 For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
