A mulher e filhos da devassidão de Oseias

2 Quando Jeová falou, ao princípio, com Oseias, disse Jeová a Oseias: *Os 3.1;Is 20.2-3Vai, toma uma *Jr 3.1,12,14mulher de fornicação e filhos de fornicação, porque a terra *Os 2.5;5.3comete fornicação, apartando-se de Jeová. 3 Foi-se, pois, e tomou a Gômer, filha de Diblaim; ela concebeu *Ez 23.4e deu-lhe à luz um filho. 4 Disse-lhe Jeová: Põe-lhe por nome *Os 1.5,11;Os 2.22Jezreel, porque ainda um pouco de tempo, e visitarei *2Rs 10.1-14o sangue de Jezreel sobre a casa de Jeú e farei cessar o reino da casa de Israel. 5 Naquele dia, *Jr 49.35;Ez 39.3quebrarei o arco de Israel *Js 17.16;Jz 6.33no vale de Jezreel. 6 Ela tornou a conceber *Os 1.3e deu à luz uma filha. Disse Jeová a Oseias: Põe-lhe o nome de *Os 1.9Desfavorecida, porque *Os 2.4não tornarei a ter misericórdia da casa de Israel, para que eu lhes perdoe. 7 Terei, porém, *Is 30.18misericórdia da casa de Judá *Jr 25.5-6;Zc 9.9-10e os salvarei por Jeová, seu Deus, e não os salvarei *Sl 44.3-7pelo arco, nem pela espada, nem pela guerra, nem pelos cavalos, nem pelos cavaleiros. 8 Ora, tendo ela desmamado a Desfavorecida, concebeu *Os 1.3e deu à luz um filho. 9 Disse Jeová: Põe-lhe por nome *Os 1.6Não-Meu-Povo, porque vós não sois o meu povo, e eu não serei o vosso Deus.

Restauração de Israel e Judá

10 Contudo, o número dos filhos de Israel será como *Gn 22.17;Jr 33.22a areia do mar, que não se pode medir, nem contar; e *Rm 9.26acontecerá que, no lugar onde se lhes disser: *Os 1.9;Is 65.1Vós não sois o meu povo, se lhes dirá: Vós sois *Is 63.16;64.8os filhos do Deus vivo. 11 Os filhos de Judá e os filhos de Israel *Jr 23.5-6;50.4-5;Ez 37.21-24juntos se congregarão, e constituirão sobre si *Os 3.5;Jr 30.21uma só cabeça, e subirão da terra, pois grande será o dia de *Os 1.4-5Jezreel.

2 When Yahweh spoke at first by Hosea, Yahweh said to Hosea, "Go, take for yourself a wife of prostitution and children of unfaithfulness; for the land commits great adultery, forsaking Yahweh."

3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived, and bore him a son.

4 Yahweh said to him, "Call his name Jezreel, for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease. 5 It will happen in that day that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel."

6 She conceived again, and bore a daughter.

Then he said to him, "Call her name Lo-Ruhamah,*1:6 Lo-Ruhamah means "not loved". for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them. 7 But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by Yahweh their God,*1:7 The Hebrew word rendered "God" is "אֱלֹהִ֑ים" (Elohim). and will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen."

8 Now when she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived, and bore a son.

9 He said, "Call his name Lo-Ammi,*1:9 Lo-Ammi means "not my people". for you are not my people, and I will not be yours. 10 Yet the number of the children of Israel will be as the sand of the sea, which can’t be measured or counted; and it will come to pass that, in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’ 11 The children of Judah and the children of Israel will be gathered together, and they will appoint themselves one head, and will go up from the land; for great will be the day of Jezreel.
