1 Em ti, SENHOR, confio; nunca me deixes confundido. Livra-me pela tua justiça.
2 Inclina para mim os teus ouvidos, livra-me depressa; sê a minha firme rocha, uma casa fortíssima que me salve.
3 Porque tu és a minha rocha e a minha fortaleza; assim, por amor do teu nome, guia-me e encaminha-me.
4 Tira-me da rede que para mim esconderam, pois tu és a minha força.
5 Nas tuas mãos encomendo o meu espírito; tu me redimiste, Senhor Deus da verdade.
6 Odeio aqueles que se entregam a vaidades enganosas; eu, porém, confio no Senhor.
7 Eu me alegrarei e regozijarei na tua benignidade, pois consideraste a minha aflição; conheceste a minha alma nas angústias.
8 E não me entregaste nas mãos do inimigo; puseste os meus pés num lugar espaçoso.
9 Tem misericórdia de mim, ó Senhor, porque estou angustiado. Consumidos estão de tristeza os meus olhos, a minha alma e o meu ventre.
10 Porque a minha vida está gasta de tristeza, e os meus anos de suspiros; a minha força descai por causa da minha iniqüidade, e os meus ossos se consomem.
11 Fui opróbrio entre todos os meus inimigos, até entre os meus vizinhos, e horror para os meus conhecidos; os que me viam na rua fugiam de mim.
12 Estou esquecido no coração deles, como um morto; sou como um vaso quebrado.
13 Pois ouvi a murmuração de muitos, temor havia ao redor; enquanto juntamente consultavam contra mim, intentaram tirar-me a vida.
14 Mas eu confiei em ti, Senhor; e disse: Tu és o meu Deus.
15 Os meus tempos estão nas tuas mãos; livra-me das mãos dos meus inimigos e dos que me perseguem.
16 Faze resplandecer o teu rosto sobre o teu servo; salva-me por tuas misericórdias.
17 Não me deixes confundido, Senhor, porque te tenho invocado. Deixa confundidos os ímpios, e emudeçam na sepultura.
18 Emudeçam os lábios mentirosos que falam coisas más com soberba e desprezo contra o justo.
19 Oh! quão grande é a tua bondade, que guardaste para os que te temem, a qual operaste para aqueles que em ti confiam na presença dos filhos dos homens!
20 Tu os esconderás, no secreto da tua presença, dos desaforos dos homens; encobri-los-ás em um pavilhão, da contenda das línguas.
21 Bendito seja o Senhor, pois fez maravilhosa a sua misericórdia para comigo em cidade segura.
22 Pois eu dizia na minha pressa: Estou cortado de diante dos teus olhos; não obstante, tu ouviste a voz das minhas súplicas, quando eu a ti clamei.
23 Amai ao Senhor, vós todos que sois seus santos; porque o Senhor guarda os fiéis e retribui com abundância ao que usa de soberba.
24 Esforçai-vos, e ele fortalecerá o vosso coração, vós todos que esperais no Senhor.

2 \31:1\In you, O Lord, have I put my hope; let me never be shamed; keep me safe in your righteousness.
3 \31:2\Let your ear be turned to me; take me quickly out of danger; be my strong Rock, my place of strength where I may be safe.
4 \31:3\For you are my Rock and my strong tower; go in front of me and be my guide, because of your name.
5 \31:4\Take me out of the net which they have put ready for me secretly; for you are my strength.
6 \31:5\Into your hands I give my spirit; you are my saviour, O Lord God for ever true.
7 \31:6\I am full of hate for those who go after false gods; but my hope is in the Lord.
8 \31:7\I will be glad and have delight in your mercy; because you have seen my trouble; you have had pity on my soul in its sorrows;
9 \31:8\And you have not given me into the hand of my hater; you have put my feet in a wide place.
10 \31:9\Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am in trouble; my eyes are wasted with grief, I am wasted in soul and body.
11 \31:10\My life goes on in sorrow, and my years in weeping; my strength is almost gone because of my sin, and my bones are wasted away.
12 \31:11\Because of all those who are against me, I have become a word of shame to my neighbours; a cause of shaking the head and a fear to my friends: those who saw me in the street went in flight from me.
13 \31:12\I have gone from men's minds and memory like a dead man; I am like a broken vessel.
14 \31:13\False statements against me have come to my ears; fear was on every side: they were talking together against me, designing to take away my life.
15 \31:14\But I had faith in you, O Lord; I said, You are my God.
16 \31:15\The chances of my life are in your hand; take me out of the hands of my haters, and of those who go after me.
17 \31:16\Let your servant see the light of your face; in your mercy be my saviour.
18 \31:17\Let me not be shamed, O Lord, for I have made my prayer to you; let the sinners be shamed, and let their mouths be shut in the underworld.
19 \31:18\Let the false lips be shut, which say evil against the upright, looking down on him in their pride.
20 \31:19\O how great is your grace, which you have put in store for your worshippers, and which you have made clear to those who had faith in you, before the sons of men!
21 \31:20\You will keep them safe in your house from the designs of man; in the secret of your tent will you keep them from angry tongues.
22 \31:21\May the Lord be praised, because he has made clear to me the wonder of his grace in a strong town.
23 \31:22\And as for me, I said in my fear, I am cut off from before your eyes; but you gave ear to the voice of my prayer, when my cry went up to you.
24 \31:23\O have love for the Lord, all you his saints; for the Lord keeps safe from danger all those who are true to him, and gives the workers of pride their right reward.
25 \31:24\Put away fear and let your heart be strong, all you whose hope is in the Lord.
