1 Assim diz o Senhor: Guardai o juízo, e fazei justiça, porque a minha salvação está prestes a vir, e a minha justiça, para se manifestar.2 Bem-aventurado o homem que fizer isto, e o filho do homem que lançar mão disto; que se guarda de profanar o sábado, e guarda a sua mão de fazer algum mal.3 E não fale o filho do estrangeiro, que se houver unido ao Senhor, dizendo: Certamente o Senhor me separará do seu povo; nem tampouco diga o eunuco: Eis que sou uma árvore seca.4 Porque assim diz o Senhor a respeito dos eunucos, que guardam os meus sábados, e escolhem aquilo em que eu me agrado, e abraçam a minha aliança:5 Também lhes darei na minha casa e dentro dos meus muros um lugar e um nome, melhor do que o de filhos e filhas; um nome eterno darei a cada um deles, que nunca se apagará.6 E aos filhos dos estrangeiros, que se unirem ao Senhor, para o servirem, e para amarem o nome do Senhor, e para serem seus servos, todos os que guardarem o sábado, não o profanando, e os que abraçarem a minha aliança,7 Também os levarei ao meu santo monte, e os alegrarei na minha casa de oração; os seus holocaustos e os seus sacrifícios serão aceitos no meu altar; porque a minha casa será chamada casa de oração para todos os povos.8 Assim diz o Senhor Deus, que congrega os dispersos de Israel: Ainda ajuntarei outros aos que já se lhe ajuntaram.9 Vós, todos os animais do campo, todos os animais dos bosques, vinde comer.10 Todos os seus atalaias são cegos, nada sabem; todos são cães mudos, não podem ladrar; andam adormecidos, estão deitados, e gostam do sono.11 E estes cães são gulosos, não se podem fartar; e eles são pastores que nada compreendem; todos eles se tornam para o seu caminho, cada um para a sua ganância, cada um por sua parte.12 Vinde, dizem, trarei vinho, e beberemos bebida forte; e o dia de amanhã será como este, e ainda muito mais abundante.

1 Thus hath said the Lord, Keep ye justice, and do equity; for near is my salvation to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.2 Happy is the mortal that ever doth this, and the son of man that ever layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath by not violating it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.3 And let not say the son of the stranger, that joineth himself unto the Lord, saying, Surely the Lord will exclude me from his people; nor let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.4 For thus hath said the Lord concerning the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and make choice of what pleaseth me, and take hold of my covenant.5 I will indeed give unto them in my house and within my walls a place and a name, better than sons and daughters: an everlasting name will I give them, that shall not be cut off.6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves unto the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be unto him as servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath by not violating it, and those who take hold of my covenant:7 Even these will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt–offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations.8 Thus saith the Lord Eternal who gathereth the outcasts of Israel, I will yet gather others to him, beside his own gathered outcasts.9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.10 His watchmen are all of them blind, they know nothing; they all are dumb dogs, they cannot bark; dreamers, lying down, loving to slumber.11 But the dogs are of a greedy disposition, they know not how to be satisfied; and those are shepherds that know how to understand: they all turn to their own way, every one after his gain, from all quarters.12 Come ye, I will fetch wine, and let us swallow abundantly of strong drink; and like this day shall it be tomorrow, excellent and in very great abundance.
