1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but stays for ever.2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from now on even for ever.3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest on the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands to iniquity.4 Do good, O LORD, to those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be on Israel.

QUELLI che si confidano nel Signore, Son come il monte di Sion, il quale non può essere smosso, E che dimora in perpetuo.2 Come Gerusalemme è intorniata di monti, Così il Signore è intorno al suo popolo, Da ora in eterno.3 Perciocchè la verga d’empietà non riposerà in perpetuo Sopra la sorte de’ giusti; Acciocchè talora i giusti non mettano le lor mani ad alcuna iniquità4 O Signore, fa’ bene a’ buoni, Ed a quelli che son diritti ne’ lor cuori.5 Ma, quant’è a quelli che deviano dietro alle loro obliquità, Scaccili il Signore con gli operatori d’iniquità.
