1 Praise you the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.4 His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.5 Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keeps truth for ever:7 Which executes judgment for the oppressed: which gives food to the hungry. The LORD looses the prisoners:8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind: the LORD raises them that are bowed down: the LORD loves the righteous:9 The LORD preserves the strangers; he relieves the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise you the LORD.

Anima mia, loda il Signore.2 Io loderò il Signore, mentre viverò; Io salmeggerò al mio Dio, mentre durerò.3 Non vi confidate in principi, Nè in alcun figliuol d’uomo, che non ha modo di salvare.4 Il suo fiato uscirà, ed egli se ne ritornerà nella sua terra; In quel dì periranno i suoi disegni5 Beato colui che ha l’Iddio di Giacobbe in suo aiuto, La cui speranza è nel Signore Iddio suo6 Il quale ha fatto il cielo e la terra, Il mare, e tutto ciò ch’è in essi; Che osserva la fede in eterno;7 Il qual fa ragione agli oppressati; E dà del cibo agli affamati. Il Signore scioglie i prigioni.8 Il Signore apre gli occhi a’ ciechi; Il Signore rileva quelli che son chinati; Il Signore ama i giusti.9 Il Signore guarda i forestieri; Egli solleva l’orfano e la vedova; E sovverte la via degli empi.10 Il Signore regna in eterno, E il tuo Dio, o Sion, per ogni età.
