1 And Jehovah said to Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father’s house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood. 2 And thy brethren also, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring near with thee, that they may unite with thee, and minister unto thee; but thou and thy sons with thee shall serve before the tent of the testimony. 3 And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of the whole tent: only they shall not come near to the vessels of the sanctuary and to the altar, that they may not die, and you as well as they. 4 And they shall unite with thee, and keep the charge of the tent of meeting, for all the service of the tent; and no stranger shall come near to you. 5 And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar; that there come no wrath any more upon the children of Israel. 6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren, the Levites, from among the children of Israel; to you are they given as a gift for Jehovah to perform the service of the tent of meeting. 7 But thou and thy sons with thee shall attend to your priesthood for all that concerneth the altar, and for that which is inside the veil; and ye shall perform the service: I give you your priesthood as a service of gift, and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.

8 And Jehovah spoke to Aaron, And I, behold, I have given thee the charge of my heave-offerings, of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; to thee have I given them, because of the anointing, and to thy sons by an everlasting statute. 9 This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every offering of theirs, of all their oblations, and of all their sin-offerings, and of all their trespass-offerings, which they render unto me, it is most holy for thee and for thy sons. 10 As most holy shalt thou eat it: every male shall eat it; it shall be holy unto thee. 11 And this shall be thine: the heave-offering of their gift, with all the wave-offerings of the children of Israel; I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by an everlasting statute; every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it. 12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the new wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they give to Jehovah, have I given thee. 13 The first ripe of everything that is in their land, which they shall bring to Jehovah, shall be thine; every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it. 14 Every devoted thing in Israel shall be thine. 15 Everything that breaketh open the womb of all flesh, which they present to Jehovah, of men or of beasts, shall be thine; nevertheless the firstborn of man shalt thou in any case ransom, and the firstborn of unclean beasts shalt thou ransom. 16 And those that are to be ransomed from a month old shalt thou ransom, according to thy valuation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. 17 But the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat, thou shalt not ransom: they are holy. Thou shalt sprinkle their blood on the altar, and their fat shalt thou burn as an offering by fire for a sweet odour to Jehovah. 18 And their flesh shall be thine; as the wave-breast and as the right shoulder shall it be thine. 19 All the heave-offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer to Jehovah, have I given thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by an everlasting statute: it shall be an everlasting covenant of salt before Jehovah unto thee and thy seed with thee.

20 And Jehovah said to Aaron, In their land thou shalt have no inheritance, neither shalt thou have any portion among them: I am thy portion and thine inheritance among the children of Israel. 21 And to the children of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithes in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they perform, the service of the tent of meeting. 22 Neither shall the children of Israel henceforth come near the tent of meeting, to bear sin and die. 23 But the Levite, he shall perform the service of the tent of meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity: it is an everlasting statute throughout your generations. And among the children of Israel shall they possess no inheritance; 24 for I have given for an inheritance to the Levites the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as a heave-offering to Jehovah; therefore I have said of them, They shall possess no inheritance among the children of Israel. 25 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 26 And to the Levites shalt thou speak, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer a heave-offering from it for Jehovah, the tenth of the tithe. 27 And your heave-offering shall be reckoned unto you, as the corn from the threshing-floor, and as the fulness of the winepress. 28 Thus ye also shall offer Jehovah’s heave-offering of all your tithes, which ye take of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof Jehovah’s heave-offering to Aaron the priest. 29 Out of all that is given you ye shall offer the whole heave-offering of Jehovah, — of all the best thereof the hallowed part thereof. 30 And thou shalt say unto them, When ye heave the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as produce of the threshing-floor, and as produce of the winepress. 31 And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households; for it is your reward for your service in the tent of meeting. 32 And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, if ye heave from it the best of it; and ye shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.

Cap. 8:2. la Sfântul Locaș și altar, ca*Cap. 16:46. să nu mai fie mânie împotriva copiilor lui Israel. 6 Iată că am luat pe frații voștri leviții din mijlocul copiilor lui Israel, ca unii care sunt dați*Cap. 3:12,45. Domnului; ei vă*Cap. 3:9;8:19. sunt încredințați vouă în dar, ca să facă slujba cortului întâlnirii. 7 Tu și fiii*Vers. 5. Cap. 3:10. tăi împreună cu tine să păziți slujbele preoției voastre în tot ce privește altarul și tot ce este dincolo*Evr. 9:3,6. de perdeaua dinăuntru: aceasta este slujba pe care o veți face. Vă dau în dar slujba preoției. Străinul care se va apropia va fi omorât."

8 Domnul a zis lui Aaron: „Iată, din toate lucrurile pe*Lev. 6:16,18,26;7:6,32. Cap. 5:9. care Mi le închină copiii lui Israel, îți dau pe cele care Îmi sunt aduse prin ridicare; ți le dau ție și fiilor tăi ca drept*Exod 29:29;40:13,15. al ungerii, printr-o lege veșnică. 9 Iată ce va fi al tău dintre lucrurile preasfinte care nu sunt mistuite de foc: toate darurile din jertfele lor*Lev. 2:2,3;10:12,13. de mâncare, toate jertfele*Lev. 4:22,27;6:25,26. lor de ispășire și toate jertfele*Lev. 5:1;7:7;10:12;14:13. pentru vină pe care Mi le vor aduce; lucrurile acestea preasfinte să fie ale tale și ale fiilor tăi. 10 Să le mâncați într-un*Lev. 6:16,18,26,29;7:6. loc preasfânt; orice bărbat să mănânce din ele; să le priviți ca sfinte. 11 Iată ce va mai fi al tău: toate darurile pe care le vor aduce copiii lui Israel*Exod 29:27,28.Lev. 7:30,34. prin ridicare și legănându-le într-o parte și în alta ți*Lev. 10:14.Deut. 18:3. le dau ție, fiilor tăi și fiicelor tale împreună cu tine, printr-o lege veșnică. Oricine*Lev. 22:2,3,11-13. va fi curat în casa ta să mănânce din ele. 12 Îți dau cele dintâi roade pe care le vor aduce Domnului: tot*Exod 23:19.Deut. 18:4.Neem. 10:35,36. ce va fi mai bun din untdelemn, tot ce va fi mai bun din must și grâu. 13 Cele dintâi*Exod 22:29. roade ale pământului lor pe*Exod 22:29;23:19;34:26.Lev. 2:14. Cap. 15:19.Deut. 26:2. care le vor aduce Domnului să fie ale tale. Oricine*Vers. 11. va fi curat în casa ta să mănânce din ele. 14 Tot ce*Lev. 27:28. va fi închinat Domnului prin făgăduință în Israel să fie al tău. 15 Orice întâi născut*Exod 13:2;22:29.Lev. 27:26. Cap. 3:13. din orice trup pe care-l vor aduce Domnului, atât din oameni, cât și din dobitoace, să fie al tău. Numai să lași să se răscumpere întâiul născut*Exod 13:13;34:20. al omului și să lași să se răscumpere și întâiul născut al unui dobitoc necurat. 16 Să lași să se răscumpere întâii născuți ai oamenilor de la vârsta de o lună, după*Lev. 27:6. Cap. 3:47. prețuirea ta, cu prețul de cinci sicli de argint, după siclul Sfântului Locaș, care este*Exod 30:13.Lev. 27:25. Cap. 3:47.Ezec. 45:12. de douăzeci de ghere. 17 Dar*Deut. 15:19. să nu lași să se răscumpere întâiul născut al vacii, nici întâiul născut al oii, nici întâiul născut al caprei; acestea sunt lucruri sfinte. Sângele lor*Lev. 3:2,5. să-l stropești pe altar și să le arzi grăsimea; aceasta va fi o jertfă mistuită de foc de un miros plăcut Domnului. 18 Carnea lor să fie a ta, ca și pieptul*Exod 29:26,28.Lev. 7:31,32,34. care se leagănă într-o parte și în alta și ca și spata dreaptă. 19 Îți dau ție, fiilor tăi și fiicelor tale împreună cu tine, printr-o lege veșnică, toate darurile sfinte*Vers. 11. pe care le vor aduce Domnului copiii lui Israel prin ridicare. Acesta este un*Lev. 2:13.2 Cron. 13:5. legământ de necălcat și pe vecie înaintea Domnului, pentru tine și pentru sămânța ta împreună cu tine."

20 Domnul a zis lui Aaron: „Tu să n-ai nicio moștenire în țara lor și să n-ai nicio parte de moșie în mijlocul lor. Eu*Deut. 10:9;12:12;14:27,29;18:1,2.Ios. 13:14,33;14:3;18:7.Ps. 16:5.Ezec. 44:28. sunt moștenirea și partea ta de moșie în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel. 21 Fiilor lui*Lev. 27:30,32. Vers. 24,26.Neem. 10:37;12:44.Evr. 7:5,8,9. Levi le dau ca moștenire orice zeciuială în Israel, pentru slujba pe care o fac ei, pentru*Cap. 3:7,8. slujba cortului întâlnirii. 22 Copiii*Cap. 1:51. lui Israel să nu se mai apropie de cortul întâlnirii, ca să nu*Lev. 22:9. se facă vinovați de vreun păcat și să moară. 23 Ci*Cap. 3:7. leviții să facă slujba cortului întâlnirii și să rămână încărcați cu fărădelegile lor. Ei să n-aibă nicio moștenire în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel: aceasta să fie o lege veșnică printre urmașii voștri. 24 Leviților*Vers. 21. le dau de moștenire zeciuielile pe care le vor aduce copiii lui Israel Domnului prin ridicare, de aceea zic cu privire la ei: ‘Să nu aibă*Vers. 20.Deut. 10:9;14:27,29;18:1. nicio moștenire în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel.’"

25 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise și a zis: 26 „Să vorbești leviților și să le spui: ‘Când veți primi de la copiii lui Israel zeciuiala*Neem. 10:38. pe care v-o dau din partea lor, ca moștenire a voastră, să luați întâi din ea un dar pentru Domnul, și anume a zecea parte din zeciuială, 27 și darul*Vers. 30. vostru vi se va socoti ca grâul care se ia întâi din arie și ca mustul care se ia întâi din teasc. 28 Astfel, să luați și voi întâi un dar pentru Domnul din toate zeciuielile pe care le veți primi de la copiii lui Israel și să dați preotului Aaron darul pe care-l veți lua întâi din ele pentru Domnul. 29 Din toate darurile care vi se vor da, să luați întâi toate darurile pentru Domnul; din tot ce va fi mai bun, să luați întâi partea închinată Domnului.’ 30 Să le spui: ‘După ce veți lua din ele partea cea mai bună*Vers. 27., zeciuiala va fi socotită leviților ca venitul de la arie și ca venitul de la teasc. 31 Să-l mâncați într-un loc oarecare, voi și casa voastră, căci aceasta este plata*Mat. 10:10.Luca 10:7.1 Cor. 9:13.1 Tim. 5:18. voastră pentru slujba pe care o faceți în cortul întâlnirii. 32 Nu vă veți*Lev. 19:8;22:16. face vinovați pentru aceasta de niciun păcat, dacă veți lua din ele pentru Domnul ce este mai bun, nici nu veți*Lev. 22:2,15. pângări darurile sfinte ale copiilor lui Israel și nu veți muri.’"
