1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.*46.1 for: or, of

4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

1 Přednímu kantoru z synů Chóre, píseň na alamot. 2 Bůh jest naše útočiště i síla, ve všelikém ssoužení pomoc vždycky hotová. 3 A protož nebudeme se báti, byť se pak i země podvrátila, a zpřevracely se hory do prostřed moře. 4 Byť i ječely, a kormoutily se vody jeho, a hory se rozrážely od dutí jeho. Sélah. 5 Potok a pramenové jeho obveselují město Boží, nejsvětější z příbytků Nejvyššího. 6 Bůh jest u prostřed něho, nepohneť se; přispějeť jemu Bůh na pomoc hned v jitře. 7 Když hlučeli národové, a pohnula se království, vydal hlas svůj, a rozplynula se země. 8 Hospodin zástupů jest s námi, hradem vysokým jest nám Bůh Jákobův. Sélah. 9 Poďte, vizte skutky Hospodinovy, jakýchť jest pustin nadělal na zemi. 10 Přítrž činí bojům až do končin země, lučiště láme, kopí posekává, a vozy spaluje ohněm, 11 Mluvě: Upokojtež se, a vězte, žeť jsem já Bůh, kterýž vyvýšen budu mezi národy, vyvýšen budu na zemi. 12 Hospodin zástupů jest s námi, hradem vysokým jest nám Bůh Jákobův.
