Salmos 29

A Psalm of David.

1 Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.*29.1 ye mighty: Heb. ye sons of the mighty

2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.*29.2 the glory…: Heb. the honour of his name*29.2 in…: or, in his glorious sanctuary

3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.*29.3 many: or, great

4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.*29.4 powerful: Heb. in power*29.4 full…: Heb. in majesty

5 The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

7 The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire.*29.7 divideth: Heb. cutteth out

8 The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.*29.9 to calve: or, to be in pain*29.9 doth…: or, every whit of it uttereth, etc

10 The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.

11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

1 Žalm Davidův. Vzdejte Hospodinu, velikomocní, vzdejte Hospodinu čest a sílu. 2 Vzdejte Hospodinu slávu jména jeho, sklánějte se Hospodinu v ozdobě svatosti. 3 Hlas Hospodinův nad vodami, Bůh silný slávy hřímání vzbuzuje, Hospodin to činí nad vodami mnohými. 4 Hlas Hospodinův přichází s mocí, hlas Hospodinův s velebností. 5 Hlas Hospodinův láme cedry, rozrážíť Hospodin cedry Libánské. 6 A činí, aby skákali jako telata, Libán a Sirion, jako mladý jednorožec. 7 Hlas Hospodinův rozkřesává plamen ohně. 8 Hlas Hospodinův k bolesti přivodí poušť, k bolesti přivodí Hospodin poušť Kádes. 9 Hlas Hospodinův to činí, že laně plodu pozbývají, obnažuje i lesy, ale v chrámě svém všecku svou slávu vypravuje. 10 Hospodin nad potopou seděl, a budeť seděti Hospodin, jsa králem i na věky. 11 Hospodin silou lid svůj daří, Hospodin požehná lidu svému v pokoji.
