Salmos 5

To the chief Musician upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David.

1 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.*5.5 in…: Heb. before thine eyes

6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.*5.6 bloody…: Heb. man of bloods and deceit

7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.*5.7 thy holy…: Heb. the temple of thy holiness

8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.*5.8 mine…: Heb. those which observe me

10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.*5.10 Destroy…: or, Make them guilty*5.10 by…: or, from their counsels

11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.*5.11 defendest…: Heb. coverest over, or, protectest them

1 Přednímu zpěváku na nechilot, žalm Davidův. 2 Slova má slyš, Hospodine, porozuměj tužebnému úpění mému. 3 Pozoruj hlasu volání mého, králi můj a Bože můj; nebo se tobě modlím. 4 Hospodine, v jitře vyslyšíš hlas můj, v jitře předložím tobě žádost, a šetřiti budu. 5 Nebo ty, ó Bože silný, neoblibuješ bezbožnosti, nemá místa u tebe nešlechetník. 6 Neostojí blázniví před očima tvýma, v nenávisti máš všecky činitele nepravosti. 7 Zatratíš mluvící lež. Èlověka ukrutného a lstivého v ohavnosti má Hospodin. 8 Já pak ve množství milosrdenství tvého vejdu do domu tvého, klaněti se budu k svatému chrámu tvému v bázni tvé. 9 Hospodine, proveď mne v spravedlnosti své, pro ty, jenž mne střehou; spravuj přede mnou cestu svou. 10 Neboť není v ústech jejich žádné upřímnosti, vnitřnosti jejich plné nešlechetnosti, hrob otevřený hrdlo jejich, jazykem svým lahodně mluví. 11 Zkaz je, ó Bože, nechať padnou od rad svých; pro množství nešlechetností jejich rozptyl je, poněvadž odporní jsou tobě. 12 A ať se všickni v tě doufající radují, na věky ať plésají, když je zastírati budeš; ať se v tobě veselí, kteřížkoli milují jméno tvé. 13 Nebo ty, Hospodine, požehnáš spravedlivému, a jako štítem přívětivostí svou vůkol zastřeš jej.
