1 O louvor te aguarda*65.1 Ou O louvor é apropriado a ti. em Sião, ó Deus,

e os votos feitos a ti serão cumpridos.

2 Ó tu que ouves a oração,

a ti virão todos os mortais.

3 Quando os nossos pecados pesavam sobre nós,

tu mesmo fizeste expiação pelas nossas transgressões.

4 Bem-aventurados aqueles que escolhes

e trazes a ti para que vivam nos teus átrios!

Transbordamos de bênçãos da tua casa,

do teu santo templo!

5 Tu nos respondes com temíveis feitos de justiça,

ó Deus, nosso Salvador,

esperança de todos os confins da terra

e dos mais distantes mares.

6 Tu que firmaste os montes com o teu poder,

revestido de força.

7 Tu que acalmas o bramido dos mares,

o bramido das suas ondas

e o tumulto das nações.

8 Diante das tuas maravilhas,

tremem os habitantes dos confins da terra;

do nascente ao poente

despertas canções de alegria.

9 Cuidas da terra e a regas;

fartamente a enriqueces.

Os riachos de Deus transbordam

para que nunca falte o trigo,

pois assim ordenaste.*65.9 Ou pois é assim que preparas a terra.

10 Encharcas os seus sulcos e aplainas os seus torrões;

tu a amoleces com chuvas e abençoas as suas colheitas.

11 Coroas o ano com a tua bondade

e por onde passas emana a*65.11 Ou e as tuas carroças transbordam de. fartura;

12 as pastagens do deserto transbordam,

e as colinas se vestem de júbilo.

13 Os campos se revestem de rebanhos,

e os vales se cobrem de trigo;

eles exultam e cantam de alegria!

2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

3 Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.*65.3 Iniquities: Heb. Words, or, Matters of iniquities

4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

5 By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

6 Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:

7 Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

8 They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.*65.8 rejoice: or, sing

9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.*65.9 and…: or, after thou hadst made it to desire rain

10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.*65.10 settlest: or, causest rain to descend into*65.10 makest…: Heb. dissolvest it

13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
