Salmos 98

Salmo.

1 Cantem ao Senhor um novo cântico,

pois ele fez prodígios;

a sua mão direita e o seu braço santo

alcançaram a vitória!

2 O Senhor anunciou a sua vitória

e revelou a sua justiça aos olhos das nações.

3 Ele se lembrou do seu amor leal

e da sua fidelidade para com o povo de Israel;

todos os confins da terra viram

a salvação do nosso Deus.

4 Aclamem o Senhor, todos os habitantes da terra!

Irrompam em cânticos de alegria e ao som de música!

5 Ofereçam música ao Senhor com a harpa,

com a harpa e ao som de canções!

6 Com trombetas e ao som de cornetas de chifre de carneiro;

exultem diante do Senhor, o Rei!

7 Ressoe o mar e tudo o que nele existe,

o mundo e os seus habitantes!

8 Batam palmas os rios,

e juntos cantem de alegria os montes!

9 Cantem diante do Senhor,

porque ele vem julgar a terra!

Julgará o mundo com justiça

e os povos com equidade!

A Psalm.

1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

2 The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.*98.2 openly…: or, revealed

3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.

7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.*98.7 the fulness…: or, all it containeth

8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
