1 Ο Κύριος είπε στο Μωυσή: 2 «Πες στους Ισραηλίτες να κάνουν μια συνεισφορά για μένα. Θα μαζέψετε προσφορές από όσους έχουν τη διάθεση να δώσουν για μένα προαιρετικά. 3 Αυτά που θα προσφέρουν είναι: χρυσάφι, ασήμι και χαλκός, 4 μάλλινα υφάσματα σε χρώμα γαλάζιο, πορφυρό ή κόκκινο, λεπτά λινά υφάσματα και κατσικίσιο μαλλί· 5 κόκκινα δέρματα τράγων και τομάρια· ξύλα ακακίας, 6 λάδι για τις λυχνίες, αρωματικές ουσίες για το μύρο του χρίσματος και το εύοσμο θυμίαμα. 7 Επίσης θα φέρουν λίθους όνυχες και άλλα πολύτιμα πετράδια για το εφώδ και το επιστήθιο του αρχιερέα. 8 Θα μου κατασκευάσουν ένα ιερό, για να κατασκηνώσω ανάμεσά τους. 9 Θα τα φτιάξετε όλα σύμφωνα με το σχέδιο της σκηνής και με τα πρότυπα όλων των σκευών της, που εγώ θα σου δείξω».

10 «Οι Ισραηλίτες θα κατασκευάσουν μια κιβωτό από ξύλο ακακίας, δυόμισυ πήχεις μάκρος, ενάμισυ πήχυ πλάτος και ενάμισυ ύψος. 11 Θα την επιχρυσώσουν με καθαρό χρυσάφι από μέσα και απ’ έξω, και θα κατασκευάσουν γύρω της μια χρυσή στεφάνη. 12 Θα χύσουν τέσσερις χρυσούς κρίκους και θα τους τοποθετήσουν στις τέσσερις γωνιές της, δύο κρίκους από την κάθε πλευρά. 13 Θα κατασκευάσουν δοκούς από ξύλο ακακίας, που θα τις επιχρυσώσουν, 14 και θα τις περάσουν μέσα από τους κρίκους στις πλευρές της κιβωτού, για να τη σηκώνουν μ’ αυτές. 15 Οι δοκοί θα μένουν περασμένες στους κρίκους της κιβωτού –δε θα τις βγάζουν. 16 Μέσα στην κιβωτό θα βάλεις το νόμο που θα σου δώσω.

17 »Θα κατασκευάσουν το ιλαστήριο, δηλαδή ένα σκέπασμα από καθαρό χρυσάφι, δυόμισυ πήχεις μάκρος και ενάμισυ πλάτος. 18,19 Επίσης θα κατασκευάσουν δύο χερουβίμ από χρυσάφι σφυρηλατημένο και θα τα τοποθετήσουν, ένα σώμα με το ιλαστήριο στις δύο άκρες του, ένα σε κάθε άκρη. 20 Θα έχουν ανοιχτές τις φτερούγες τους προς τα πάνω, έτσι που να σκεπάζουν μ’ αυτές το ιλαστήριο, και θα είναι τοποθετημένα αντικρυστά, με τα πρόσωπα στραμμένα προς αυτό. 21 Μέσα στην κιβωτό θα βάλεις τους νόμους που θα σου δώσω και από πάνω της θα βάλεις το ιλαστήριο. 22 Κι εγώ θα σου φανερώνομαι εκεί πάνω από το ιλαστήριο, πάνω από την κιβωτό του νόμου, ανάμεσα στα δύο χερουβίμ. Από ’κει θα σου μιλάω κάθε φορά που θα θέλω να σου δώσω κάποια εντολή για τους Ισραηλίτες».

23 «Θα κατασκευάσουν μια τράπεζα από ξύλο ακακίας, δυο πήχεις μάκρος, έναν πήχυ πλάτος και ενάμισυ ύψος. 24 Θα την επιχρυσώσουν με καθαρό χρυσάφι και γύρω γύρω θα της κατασκευάσουν μια χρυσή στεφάνη. 25 Θα κάνουν ένα πλαίσιο μία παλάμη πλάτος στις τέσσερις πλευρές της και θα κατασκευάσουν μια χρυσή στεφάνη γύρω στο πλαίσιο. 26 Θα φτιάξουν τέσσερις χρυσούς κρίκους και θα τους τοποθετήσουν στις τέσσερις γωνιές της πάνω από τα τέσσερα πόδια της. 27 Οι κρίκοι πρέπει να είναι κολλημένοι στο πλαίσιο, για να περνούν απ’ αυτούς δοκούς, με τις οποίες θα σηκώνουν την τράπεζα. 28 Οι δοκοί θα είναι από ξύλο ακακίας και επιχρυσωμένες. 29 Επίσης θα κατασκευάσουν τα σκεύη για την τράπεζα: δίσκους, λεκάνες, κανάτες, ποτήρια για τις σπονδές, όλα από καθαρό χρυσάφι. 30 Πάνω στην τράπεζα θα βάλουν τους άρτους της προθέσεως, που θα βρίσκονται συνεχώς ενώπιόν μου».

31 «Θα κατασκευάσουν μια λυχνία από καθαρό χρυσάφι, σφυρηλατημένο, όλη ένα σώμα: ο κορμός και οι λαβές της, οι κάλυκες των λουλουδιών, τα πέταλα και οι ροΐσκοι.*ροΐσκοι. Κοσμήματα των ιερατικών στολών και των ιερών σκευών σε σχήμα μικρού ροδιού.32 Έξι κλάδοι θα βγαίνουν από τα πλάγια της: τρεις από τη μια μεριά και τρεις από την άλλη. 33 Κάθε κλάδος θα είναι διακοσμημένος με τρεις κάλυκες άνθους αμυγδαλιάς, με ροΐσκους και με άνθη. 34 Στον κορμό της λυχνίας θα υπάρχουν τέσσερις κάλυκες άνθους αμυγδαλιάς, και οι ανάλογοι ροΐσκοι και άνθη. 35 Θα υπάρχει ένας ροΐσκος κάτω από κάθε ζεύγος των κλάδων της λυχνίας, τρεις ροΐσκοι συνολικά για τους έξι κλάδους. 36 Οι ροΐσκοι και οι κλάδοι θα είναι ένα σώμα με τον κορμό της λυχνίας, όλο το έργο από καθαρό χρυσάφι, σφυρηλατημένο.

37 »Θα κατασκευάσουν γι’ αυτήν εφτά λύχνους και θα τους τοποθετήσουν στη λυχνία, έτσι που να φωτίζουν το χώρο προς τα εμπρός. 38 Οι λαβίδες και οι σταχτοθήκες για τη λυχνία θα είναι καμωμένες από καθαρό χρυσάφι. 39 Για την κατασκευή της λυχνίας και των εξαρτημάτων της θα χρειαστεί ένα τάλαντο καθαρό χρυσάφι. 40 Πρόσεξε να γίνουν όλα σύμφωνα με το σχέδιο που σου έδειξα εδώ πάνω στο βουνό».

10 And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. 11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about. 12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it. 13 And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. 14 And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them. 15 The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it. 16 And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee. 17 And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. 18 And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. 19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.*25.19 of…: or, of the matter of the mercy seat 20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be. 21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. 22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

23 Thou shalt also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. 24 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about. 25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about. 26 And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof. 27 Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table. 28 And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them. 29 And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover withal: of pure gold shalt thou make them.*25.29 to…: or, to pour out withal 30 And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.

31 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. 32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side: 33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick. 34 And in the candlestick shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers. 35 And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick. 36 Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold. 37 And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.*25.37 shall light: or, shall cause to ascend*25.37 it: Heb. the face of it 38 And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold. 39 Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels. 40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.*25.40 which…: Heb. which thou wast caused to see
