1 «Οι τεχνίτες θα κατασκευάσουν ένα θυσιαστήριο από ξύλο ακακίας, πέντε πήχεις μήκος και πέντε πλάτος. Θα είναι τετράγωνο, ύψους τριών πήχεων. 2 Στις τέσσερις γωνίες του θα κατασκευάσουν τα τέσσερα κέρατα του θυσιαστηρίου, που θ’ αποτελούν ένα σώμα μ’ αυτό, και θα το επικαλύψουν με χαλκό. 3 Θα κατασκευάσουν τους λέβητες για να μαζεύουν τη λιπαρή στάχτη, τα φτυάρια, τις λεκάνες, τα πιρούνια και τις σχάρες, όλα από χαλκό.

4 »Θα κατασκευάσουν ένα κιγκλίδωμα για το θυσιαστήριο, με χάλκινο πλέγμα, και σ’ αυτό θα κάνουν τέσσερις χάλκινους κρίκους στις τέσσερις γωνίες. 5 Το πλέγμα θα τοποθετηθεί κάτω από τη χοάνη του θυσιαστηρίου, ώστε να φτάνει ως τη μέση του ύψους του. 6 Μετά θα κατασκευάσουν τις δοκούς του θυσιαστηρίου από ξύλα ακακίας, και θα τις καλύψουν με χαλκό. 7 Οι δοκοί θα περνάνε μέσα από τους κρίκους στις δυο παράλληλες πλευρές του θυσιαστηρίου για να το σηκώνουν.

8 »Το θυσιαστήριο θα είναι από σανίδες, κούφιο από μέσα, όπως σου έδειξα εδώ στο βουνό».

9 «Θα κάνουν αυλή για τη σκηνή. Για τη νότια πλευρά της θα κατασκευάσουν παραπετάσματα από λινό ύφασμα, εκατό πήχεις μήκος. 10 Τα παραπετάσματα θα τα στερεώσουν σε είκοσι χάλκινους στύλους, που θα στηρίζονται σε είκοσι χάλκινες βάσεις, με άγκιστρα και κρίκους ασημένιους. 11 Το ίδιο και στη βόρεια πλευρά: θα κάνουν παραπετάσματα μάκρους εκατό πήχεων, στερεωμένα σε είκοσι χάλκινους στύλους με τις είκοσι χάλκινες βάσεις τους, με άγκιστρα και κρίκους ασημένιους. 12 Το πλάτος της αυλής προς τη δυτική πλευρά θα έχει παραπετάσματα πενήντα πήχεις μάκρος, στερεωμένα σε δέκα στύλους με τις δέκα βάσεις τους.

13 »Το πλάτος της αυλής προς την ανατολική πλευρά θα είναι πενήντα πήχεις. 14 Από τη μία πλευρά της εισόδου θα υπάρχουν παραπετάσματα δεκαπέντε πήχεις μάκρος, στερεωμένα σε τρεις στύλους με τις τρεις βάσεις τους. 15 Το ίδιο κι από την άλλη πλευρά της εισόδου: παραπετάσματα δεκαπέντε πήχεις μάκρος, με τρεις στύλους και τις τρεις βάσεις τους. 16 Στην είσοδο της αυλής θα υπάρχει παραπέτασμα είκοσι πήχεις από ανθεκτικό λινό, υφασμένο με γαλάζιο, πορφυρό και κόκκινο μαλλί, κεντημένο καλλιτεχνικά· θα είναι στερεωμένο σε τέσσερις στύλους με τις τέσσερις βάσεις τους.

17 »Ολοι οι στύλοι της αυλής θα ενώνονται με ασημένιους κρίκους· τα άγκιστρά τους θα είναι ασημένια και οι βάσεις τους χάλκινες. 18 Το μάκρος της αυλής θα είναι εκατό πήχεις και το πλάτος της πενήντα. Τα παραπετάσματα από λινό θα έχουν ύψος πέντε πήχεις και οι βάσεις των στύλων θα είναι από χαλκό. 19 Όλα τα σκεύη της σκηνής τα αναγκαία για τη λατρεία και όλοι οι στύλοι της, καθώς και οι στύλοι της αυλής θα είναι από χαλκό».

20 «Κι εσύ, Μωυσή, θα διατάξεις τους Ισραηλίτες να σου φέρουν αγνό λάδι ελιάς για τη λυχνία, που τα λυχνάρια της πρέπει να καίνε συνεχώς. 21 Ο Ααρών και οι γιοι του θα τοποθετήσουν τη λυχνία στη σκηνή του Μαρτυρίου, απ’ έξω από το καταπέτασμα, που κρύβει την κιβωτό της διαθήκης. Αυτοί θα τη φροντίζουν κιόλας να καίει από το βράδυ ως το πρωί ενώπιόν μου. Αυτός θα είναι νόμος παντοτινός, που θα τηρείται από όλες τις γενιές των Ισραηλιτών».

1 And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits. 2 And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass. 3 And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass. 4 And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof. 5 And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar. 6 And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass. 7 And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it. 8 Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make it.*27.8 it was…: Heb. he shewed

9 And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side: 10 And the twenty pillars thereof and their twenty sockets shall be of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver. 11 And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.

12 And for the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten. 13 And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits. 14 The hangings of one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three. 15 And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.

16 And for the gate of the court shall be an hanging of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: and their pillars shall be four, and their sockets four. 17 All the pillars round about the court shall be filleted with silver; their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of brass.

18 The length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass.*27.18 fifty…: Heb. fifty by fifty 19 All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass.

20 And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.*27.20 to burn: Heb. to ascend up 21 In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
