1 Για τα ολοκαυτώματα ο Βεσαλεήλ κατασκεύασε θυσιαστήριο από ξύλο ακακίας· το μάκρος του ήταν πέντε πήχεις και το πλάτος του επίσης πέντε· ήταν τετράγωνο ύψους τριών πήχεων. 2 Τα κέρατα που του έφτιασε στις τέσσερις γωνίες ήταν ένα σώμα μ’ αυτό, και το επένδυσε όλο με χαλκό. 3 Επίσης κατασκεύασε όλα τα εξαρτήματα του θυσιαστηρίου: τους λέβητες, τα φτυάρια, τις λεκάνες, τα πιρούνια και τις σχάρες, όλα από χαλκό.

4 Για το θυσιαστήριο κατασκεύασε ένα κιγκλίδωμα με χάλκινο πλέγμα, κάτω από τη χοάνη του, που έφτανε στο μισό του ύψους του. 5-7 Έπειτα έχυσε τέσσερις κρίκους για τις τέσσερις γωνιές του χάλκινου πλέγματος απ’ τους οποίους θα περνούσαν οι δοκοί για να σηκώνουν το θυσιαστήριο. Τις δοκούς τις έκανε από ξύλο ακακίας, τις επένδυσε με χαλκό, και τις πέρασε μέσα από τους κρίκους στις πλευρές του θυσιαστηρίου. Το θυσιαστήριο ήταν από σανίδες, κούφιο από μέσα.

8 Τη λεκάνη και τη βάση της ο Βεσαλεήλ τις κατασκεύασε από χαλκό, από τα κάτοπτρα των γυναικών που υπηρετούσαν στην είσοδο της σκηνής του Μαρτυρίου.

9 Στη συνέχεια ο Βεσαλεήλ κατασκεύασε την αυλή. Για τη νότια πλευρά της, έφτιαξε παραπετάσματα από ανθεκτικό λινό, εκατό πήχεις μάκρος 10 και τα στερέωσε σε είκοσι χάλκινους στύλους, τοποθετημένους στις χάλκινες βάσεις τους· τα άγκιστρα και τους κρίκους των στύλων τα έκανε από ασήμι. 11 Για τη βόρεια πλευρά κατασκεύασε παραπετάσματα εκατό πήχεις μάκρος. Οι είκοσι στύλοι τους με τις βάσεις τους έγιναν επίσης από χαλκό· τα άγκιστρα και οι κρίκοι των στύλων από ασήμι. 12 Για τη δυτική πλευρά κατασκεύασε παραπετάσματα πενήντα πήχεις μάκρος· δέκα στύλους γι’ αυτά, με τις βάσεις τους· τα άγκιστρα και οι κρίκοι των στύλων ήταν επίσης από ασήμι. 13 Για την ανατολική πλευρά κατασκεύασε παραπετάσματα πενήντα πήχεις μάκρος. 14 Από τη μια πλευρά της εισόδου τα παραπετάσματα είχαν μάκρος δεκαπέντε πήχεις, στερεωμένα σε τρεις στύλους με τις τρεις βάσεις τους. 15 Το ίδιο κι από την άλλη πλευρά της εισόδου: Τα παραπετάσματα ήταν δεκαπέντε πήχεις μάκρος, με τους τρεις στύλους τους και τις τρεις βάσεις τους. 16 Όλα τα παραπετάσματα γύρω από την αυλή ήταν από ανθεκτικό λινό. 17 Οι βάσεις των στύλων ήταν από χαλκό, τα άγκιστρα και οι κρίκοι τους από ασήμι και τα κιονόκρανά τους επαργυρωμένα· οι στεφάνες όλων των στύλων της αυλής ήταν από ασήμι.

18 Το παραπέτασμα της εισόδου της αυλής ήταν από ανθεκτικό λινό, υφασμένο με γαλάζιο, πορφυρό και κόκκινο μαλλί, κεντημένο καλλιτεχνικά· είχε είκοσι πήχεις μάκρος και πέντε πήχεις ύψος, όσο και το πλάτος των παραπετασμάτων της αυλής. 19 Ήταν στερεωμένο σε τέσσερις χάλκινους στύλους. Οι βάσεις των στύλων ήταν χάλκινες και τα άγκιστρά τους ασημένια, όπως και τα κιονόκρανά τους και τα στεφάνια τους. 20 Όλοι οι στύλοι της σκηνής και της αυλής ολόγυρα ήταν από χαλκό.

21 Ακολουθεί κατάλογος των ποσοτήτων των διαφόρων μετάλλων που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν για την κατασκευή της σκηνής του Μαρτυρίου. Η δαπάνη αυτή έγινε από τους Λευίτες με διαταγή του Μωυσή και υπό την επιστασία του Ιθάμαρ, γιου του ιερέα Ααρών.

22 Ο Βεσαλεήλ, γιος του Ουρία και εγγονός του Χουρ, από τη φυλή Ιούδα, κατασκεύασε όλα όσα ο Κύριος διέταξε το Μωυσή. 23 Μαζί του ήταν ο Ολιάβ, γιος του Αχισαμάχ από τη φυλή Δαν. Αυτός ήταν σμιλευτής πολύτιμων λίθων, σχεδιαστής, κεντητής μαλλιού γαλάζιου, κόκκινου και πορφυρού και επίσης κεντητής του λινού.

24 Το χρυσάφι που προσφέρθηκε και δαπανήθηκε για όλη την εργασία του αγιαστηρίου έφτασε τα είκοσι εννέα τάλαντα και εφτακόσιους τριάντα σίκλους, με βάση τον ιερό σίκλο. 25 Το ασήμι που συνάχθηκε από την απογραφή της κοινότητας έφτασε τα εκατό τάλαντα και χίλιους εφτακόσιους εβδομήντα πέντε σίκλους, με βάση τον ιερό σίκλο. 26 Η ποσότητα αυτή αντιστοιχεί σε μισό σίκλο κατά άτομο, με βάση τον ιερό σίκλο, για όλους όσους απογράφτηκαν από είκοσι χρόνων και πάνω. Αυτοί ήταν εξακόσιες τρεις χιλιάδες πεντακόσια πενήντα άτομα. 27 Τα εκατό τάλαντα ασήμι δαπανήθηκαν για να χυθούν οι βάσεις του αγιαστηρίου και οι βάσεις του καταπετάσματος –ένα τάλαντο για κάθε βάση. 28 Με τους χίλιους εφτακόσιους εβδομήντα πέντε σίκλους κατασκευάστηκαν τα άγκιστρα των στύλων, επαργυρώθηκαν τα κιονόκρανά τους και έγιναν οι στεφάνες τους.

29 Ο χαλκός που προσφέρθηκε και δαπανήθηκε έφτασε τα εβδομήντα τάλαντα και δύο χιλιάδες τετρακόσιους σίκλους. 30 Μ’ αυτόν κατασκευάστηκαν οι βάσεις της εισόδου της σκηνής του Μαρτυρίου, το χάλκινο θυσιαστήριο με το χάλκινο πλέγμα και όλα τα σκεύη του θυσιαστηρίου· 31 οι στύλοι της αυλής γύρω γύρω, και της εισόδου της, με τις βάσεις τους, και οι στύλοι του οικήματος.

1 And he made the altar of burnt offering of shittim wood: five cubits was the length thereof, and five cubits the breadth thereof; it was foursquare; and three cubits the height thereof. 2 And he made the horns thereof on the four corners of it; the horns thereof were of the same: and he overlaid it with brass. 3 And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels, and the basons, and the fleshhooks, and the firepans: all the vessels thereof made he of brass. 4 And he made for the altar a brasen grate of network under the compass thereof beneath unto the midst of it. 5 And he cast four rings for the four ends of the grate of brass, to be places for the staves. 6 And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with brass. 7 And he put the staves into the rings on the sides of the altar, to bear it withal; he made the altar hollow with boards.

8 And he made the laver of brass, and the foot of it of brass, of the lookingglasses of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.*38.8 lookingglasses: or, brasen glasses*38.8 assembling: Heb. assembling by troops

9 And he made the court: on the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, an hundred cubits: 10 Their pillars were twenty, and their brasen sockets twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. 11 And for the north side the hangings were an hundred cubits, their pillars were twenty, and their sockets of brass twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver. 12 And for the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten, and their sockets ten; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver. 13 And for the east side eastward fifty cubits. 14 The hangings of the one side of the gate were fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three. 15 And for the other side of the court gate, on this hand and that hand, were hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three. 16 All the hangings of the court round about were of fine twined linen. 17 And the sockets for the pillars were of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver; and the overlaying of their chapiters of silver; and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver. 18 And the hanging for the gate of the court was needlework, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: and twenty cubits was the length, and the height in the breadth was five cubits, answerable to the hangings of the court. 19 And their pillars were four, and their sockets of brass four; their hooks of silver, and the overlaying of their chapiters and their fillets of silver. 20 And all the pins of the tabernacle, and of the court round about, were of brass.

21 This is the sum of the tabernacle, even of the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest. 22 And Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the LORD commanded Moses. 23 And with him was Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, and a cunning workman, and an embroiderer in blue, and in purple, and in scarlet, and fine linen. 24 All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the holy place, even the gold of the offering, was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary. 25 And the silver of them that were numbered of the congregation was an hundred talents, and a thousand seven hundred and threescore and fifteen shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: 26 A bekah for every man, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.*38.26 every man: Heb. a poll 27 And of the hundred talents of silver were cast the sockets of the sanctuary, and the sockets of the vail; an hundred sockets of the hundred talents, a talent for a socket. 28 And of the thousand seven hundred seventy and five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their chapiters, and filleted them. 29 And the brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels. 30 And therewith he made the sockets to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the brasen altar, and the brasen grate for it, and all the vessels of the altar, 31 And the sockets of the court round about, and the sockets of the court gate, and all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins of the court round about.
