1 Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tabernacle?

Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness,

And speaketh truth in his heart;

3 He that slandereth not with his tongue,

Nor doeth evil to his friend,

Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor;

4 In whose eyes a reprobate is despised,

But who honoreth them that fear Jehovah;

He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not;

5 He that putteth not out his money to interest,

Nor taketh reward against the innocent.

He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

1 Salmo di Davide O SIGNORE, chi dimorerà nel tuo tabernacolo? Chi abiterà nel monte della tua santità?

2 Colui che cammina in integrità, e fa ciò che è giusto, E parla il vero di cuore;

3 Che non dice male colla sua lingua, E non fa male alcuno al suo compagno, E non leva alcun vituperio contro al suo prossimo;

4 Appo cui è sprezzato chi deve esser riprovato, E che onora quelli che temono il Signore; E il quale, se ha giurato alcuna cosa, Benchè sia a suo danno, non però la ritratta;

5 Il quale non dà i suoi danari ad usura. E non prende presenti contro all’innocente. Chi fa queste cose non sarà giammai smosso
