1 耶和华啊！你为甚么远远地站着？在患难的时候，你为甚么隐藏起来呢？

2 恶人骄横地追逼困苦人，

愿恶人陷入自己所设的阴谋中。

3 恶人夸耀心中的欲望，

他称赞贪财的人，却藐视耶和华*"他称赞贪财的人，却藐视耶和华"或译："贪财的人谤渎耶和华，并藐视他"。

4 恶人面带骄傲，说："耶和华必不追究！"

在他的一切思想中，都没有　神。

5 他的道路时常稳妥，

你的判断高超，他却不放在眼内；

他对所有的仇敌都嗤之以鼻。

6 他心里说："我必永不摇动，

我决不会遭遇灾难。"

7 他口里充满咒诅、诡诈和欺压的话，

舌头底下尽是毒害与奸恶。

8 他在村庄里埋伏等候，

在隐密处杀害无辜的人，

他的眼睛暗地里窥探不幸的人。

9 他在隐密处埋伏，像狮子埋伏在丛林中；

他埋伏要掳走困苦人，

他把困苦人拉入自己的网中，掳走了他们。

10 他击打，他屈身蹲伏，

不幸的人就倒在他的爪下。

11 他心里说："　神已经忘记了，

他已经掩面，永远不看。"

12 耶和华啊！求你起来；

神啊！求你举起手来，

不要忘记困苦的人。

13 恶人为甚么藐视　神，

心里说："你必不追究"呢？

14 其实你已经看见了，

忧患与愁苦你都已经看到，并且放在自己的手中；

不幸的人把自己交托你；

你是帮助孤儿的。

15 愿你打断恶人和坏人的膀臂，

愿你追究他们的恶行，直到清清楚楚。

16 耶和华作王直到永永远远，

列国都从他的地上灭亡。

17 耶和华啊！困苦人的心愿你已经听见，

你必坚固他们的心，也必留心听他们的呼求；

18 好为孤儿和受欺压的人伸冤，

使地上的人不再施行恐吓。
