1 Jehovah reigneth: let the peoples tremble. He sitteth {between the} cherubim: let the earth be moved.2 Jehovah is great in Zion, and he is high above all the peoples.3 They shall praise thy great and terrible name, -it is holy! -4 And the strength of the king that loveth justice. *Thou* hast established equity: it is thou that executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.5 Exalt Jehovah our God, and worship at his footstool. He is holy!6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name: they called unto Jehovah, and *he* answered them.7 He spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud: they kept his testimonies, and the statute that he gave them.8 Jehovah, our God, *thou* answeredst them: a forgiving *God wast thou unto them, though thou tookest vengeance of their doings.9 Exalt Jehovah our God, and worship at the hill of his holiness; for holy is Jehovah our God.

1 Jahwe ward König - erzittern müssen die Völker! der über den Keruben thront - es wanke die Erde!2 Jahwe ist groß in Zion und erhaben ist er über alle Völker.3 Sie sollen deinen großen und furchtbaren Namen preisen: heilig ist er!4 Du bist König und liebst Recht. Du hast aufgerichtet, was recht ist; Recht und Gerechtigkeit hast du an Jakob geübt.5 Erhebt Jahwe, unsern Gott, und werft euch nieder vor dem Schemel seiner Füße: heilig ist er!6 Mose und Aaron waren unter seinen Priestern, und Samuel unter denen, die seinen Namen anriefen; sie riefen zu Jahwe und er erhörte sie.7 In der Wolkensäule redete er zu ihnen; sie hatten seine Zeugnisse bewahrt und die Mahnung, die er ihnen gegeben.8 Jahwe, unser Gott, du hast sie erhört. Du warst ihnen ein verzeihender Gott und ein Rächer ihrer schlimmen Thaten.9 Erhebt Jahwe, unsern Gott, und werft euch nieder vor seinem heiligen Berge. Denn heilig ist Jahwe, unser Gott!
