1 Να τηρείτε τη γιορτή του Πάσχα προς τιμήν του Κυρίου του Θεού σας το μήνα Αβίβ· γιατί αυτόν το μήνα, μια νύχτα σας έβγαλε ο Κύριος ο Θεός σας από την Αίγυπτο. 2 Θα προσφέρετε στον Κύριο πασχαλινή θυσία ένα πρόβατο κι ένα μοσχάρι, στον τόπο που αυτός θα διαλέξει για να λατρεύεται το όνομά του εκεί. 3 Με το γεύμα το Πάσχα δεν θα τρώτε ψωμί φτιαγμένο με προζύμι. Εφτά μέρες θα τρώτε άζυμο ψωμί, το ψωμί της θλίψης, όπως τότε που βγήκατε με βιάση από την Αίγυπτο. Έτσι θα θυμόσαστε σ’ όλη σας τη ζωή την ημέρα της εξόδου σας από την Αίγυπτο. 4 Για εφτά μέρες θα εξαφανισθεί το προζύμι απ’ όλη τη χώρα σας. Επίσης από το κρέας του ζώου, που θα θυσιάσετε από βραδίς την πρώτη μέρα, δε θα πρέπει να ’χει μείνει καθόλου υπόλοιπο το πρωί.

5 Δεν μπορείτε να προσφέρετε την πασχαλινή θυσία σε μια οποιαδήποτε από τις πόλεις που σας δίνει ο Κύριος, ο Θεός σας· 6 θα την προσφέρετε μόνο στον τόπο που ο ίδιος θα διαλέξει για να λατρεύεται το όνομά του εκεί. Τη θυσία θα την προσφέρετε το δειλινό, με τη δύση του ήλιου, την ώρα ακριβώς που βγήκατε από την Αίγυπτο. 7 Θα ψήνετε το κρέας και θα το τρώτε στον τόπο που θα έχει διαλέξει ο Κύριος, ο Θεός σας· το πρωί θα γυρνάτε πίσω στις σκηνές σας. 8 Έξι μέρες θα τρώτε άζυμο ψωμί. Την έβδομη μέρα θα έχετε επίσημη σύναξη προς τιμήν του Κυρίου του Θεού σας και δε θα κάνετε καμιά εργασία.

9 Από την ημέρα που θα βάλετε δρεπάνι στα σιτηρά θα μετρήσετε εφτά εβδομάδες, 10 και τότε θα γιορτάσετε τη γιορτή των Εβδομάδων προς τιμήν του Κυρίου, του Θεού σας: Ανάλογα με τις ευλογίες που αυτός θα σας έχει δώσει, θα φέρνετε τις προαιρετικές προσφορές σας, 11 στον τόπο που αυτός θα έχει διαλέξει για να λατρεύεται το όνομά του εκεί. Να χαιρόσαστε ενώπιον του Κυρίου του Θεού σας εσείς, οι γιοι σας και οι κόρες σας, οι δούλοι σας και οι δούλες σας, οι Λευίτες που κατοικούν στις πόλεις σας, οι ξένοι, τα ορφανά και οι χήρες που κατοικούν ανάμεσά σας. 12 Έτσι θα θυμόσαστε ότι κάποτε ήσασταν δούλοι στην Αίγυπτο· γι’ αυτό να τηρείτε τους νόμους και να τους εφαρμόζετε.

13 Τη γιορτή της Σκηνοπηγίας θα τη γιορτάζετε για εφτά μέρες αφού θα έχετε μαζέψει τη σοδειά σας από τ’ αλώνια κι από τα πατητήρια σας. 14 Να χαιρόσαστε στη γιορτή σας αυτή εσείς, οι γιοι σας και οι κόρες σας, οι δούλοι σας και οι δούλες σας, οι Λευίτες και οι ξένοι, τα ορφανά και οι χήρες που κατοικούν στις πόλεις σας. 15 Εφτά μέρες θα γιορτάζετε προς τιμήν του Κυρίου του Θεού σας, στον τόπο που αυτός θα έχει διαλέξει. Να είστε πραγματικά χαρούμενοι, γιατί ο Κύριος ο Θεός σας θα σας έχει δώσει αφθονία στα γεννήματα της γης σας και επιτυχία στις δουλειές σας.

16 Τρεις φορές το χρόνο, τις γιορτές των Αζύμων, των Εβδομάδων και της Σκηνοπηγίας, θα παρουσιάζονται όλοι οι άντρες και τ’ αγόρια του λαού ενώπιον του Κυρίου του Θεού σας, στον τόπο που αυτός θα έχει διαλέξει. Αλλά δε θα παρουσιάζεστε με άδεια χέρια. 17 Ο καθένας θα προσφέρει ό,τι μπορεί ανάλογα με την ευλογία, που θα του έχει δώσει ο Κύριος ο Θεός σας.

18 Σε όλες τις πόλεις που θα σας δώσει ο Κύριος ο Θεός σας, θα διορίσετε δικαστές και αξιωματούχους κατά φυλές. Αυτοί θα αποδίδουν το δίκαιο στο λαό, με ευθυκρισία. 19 Δε θα διαστρεβλώνετε το δίκαιο, δε θα μεροληπτείτε και δε θα δέχεστε δωροδοκία, γιατί το δώρο τυφλώνει τα μάτια των σοφών και διαστρέφει τα λόγια των δικαίων. 20 Το δίκαιο, μόνο το δίκαιο να επιδιώκετε, για να ζήσετε και να πάρετε ιδιοκτησία σας τη χώρα που σας δίνει ο Κύριος, ο Θεός σας.

21 Δε θα στήσετε καμιά ξύλινη λατρευτική στήλη από οποιοδήποτε ξύλο πλάι στο θυσιαστήριο που θα κατασκευάσετε για τον Κύριο, το Θεό σας. 22 Ούτε θα στήσετε καμιά λίθινη λατρευτική στήλη· αυτά τα μισεί ο Κύριος, ο Θεός σας.
