1 And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:2 Thou therefore O son of man. Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, To the so of Israel, there is an end,- The end hath come upon the four skirts of the land.3 Now is the end upon thee, Therefore will I send mine anger against thee, And judge these according to thy ways,- And lay upon thee all thine abominations;4 And mine eye shall not shield thee. Neither will I pity,. For thy waysupon thee, will I lay. And thine abominations in thy midst, shall be found, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.5 Thus saith My Lord Yahweh:A calamity, a sole calamity, lo! it hath come.6 An end hath come, Come hath the end It hath roused itself up against thee, Lo! it hath come.7 The circle hath come round unto thee. O inhabitant of the land,- The time hath come L The day of consternation hath drawn near. And not the joyful shout of the mountain.8 Now shortly, will I pour out mine indignation upon thee, And will bring to an end mine anger against thee, And will judge thee according to thy ways,- And will lay upon thee all thine abominations.9 And mine eye shall not shield thee Neither will I have pity, According to thy ways, tunic thee will I render, And thine abominations, in thy midst shall be found, So shall ye know that I, Yahweh am smiting.10 Lo! the day, Lo! it hath come, The circle hath gone forth, The sceptre I hath blossomed Insolence hath sprouted:11 Violence hath risen up as a sceptre of lawlessness, There are none of them And none of their multitude And none of their throngs And no lamentation over them.12 The time hath come. The day hath arrived, The buyer, let him not rejoice, and The seller, let him not mourn, For indignation, is against all her multitude.13 For the seller, unto that which is to be sold, shall not return, though yet among the living, were their life, for the vision is against all her multitude. He shall not return, And line man by his punishment, shall strengthen his life.14 They have blown the trumpet, even to make All ready, Yet is there none going to the battle; For mine indignation is against all her multitude.15 The sword without, and Pestilence and famine within, He that is in the field by the sword, shall die, and He that is in the city famine or pestilence shall devour him;16 While they who escape of them shall escape and become on the mountains as the doves of the valleys, all of them cooing,-each one in his punishment.17 All hands shall be unnerved; and All knees shall be weak as water,18 Therefore shall they gird themselves with sackcloth, And shuddering shall cover them,-And in all faces, shall be paleness, And in all their heads, baldness.19 Their silver into the streets, shall they cast and Their gold for throwing away, shall serve, Their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahweh, Their craving, shall they not satisfy, and Their belly, shall they not fill, For a stumbling-block, hath their iniquity become.20 While the beauty of his own ornament he had in majesty placed, Then the images, of their abominations. Their detestable things, Made they therein, For this cause have I delivered it up to them for removal;21 Yea I will deliver it Into the hand of foreigners for a prey, And to the lawless ones of the earth for a spoil, And they will profane it;22 And I will turn away my face from them, And they will profane my cherished place,Yea there will enter it violent men Who will profane it.23 Prepare thou a chain, For the land is full of the crime of bloodshed, And the city is full of violence.24 So then I will bring in the wicked ones of the nations, And they shall take possession of their houses, And I will cause to cease the pomp of the strong ones, And their holy places shall be profaned.25 Destruction, hath entered,- And they shall seek welfare and there be none.26 Disaster upon disaster, shall come, And report after report shall arise, Therefore shall they seek a vision from prophet, And law shall perish from priest. And counsel from elders.27 the king, shall mourn and the chief shall clothe himself with astonishment, and the hands of the people of the land shall be wrung in anguish, After their own way, will I deal with them and :With their own sentences, will I sentence them, And they shall know that all Yahweh.

1 Depois, veio a palavra do Senhor a mim, dizendo: 2 E tu, ó filho do homem, assim diz o Senhor Jeová acerca da terra de Israel: Vem o fim, o fim vem sobre os quatro cantos da terra. 3 Agora, vem o fim sobre ti, porque enviarei sobre ti a minha ira, e te julgarei conforme os teus caminhos, e trarei sobre ti todas as tuas abominações. 4 E não te poupará o meu olho, nem terei piedade de ti, mas porei sobre ti os teus caminhos, e as tuas abominações estarão no meio de ti; e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.

5 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Um mal, eis que um só mal vem. 6 Vem o fim, o fim vem, despertou-se contra ti; eis que vem; 7 vem a tua sentença, ó habitante da terra. Vem o tempo; chegado é o dia da turbação, e não da alegria, sobre os montes. 8 Agora, depressa derramarei o meu furor sobre ti, e cumprirei a minha ira contra ti, e te julgarei conforme os teus caminhos, e porei sobre ti todas as tuas abominações. 9 E não te poupará o meu olho, nem terei piedade; conforme os teus caminhos, assim carregarei sobre ti, e as tuas abominações estarão no meio de ti; e sabereis que eu, o Senhor, castigo.

10 Eis aqui o dia, eis que vem; veio a tua ruína; já floresceu a vara, reverdeceu a soberba. 11 A violência se levantou em vara de impiedade; nada restará deles, nem da sua multidão, nem do seu arruído, nem haverá lamentação por eles. 12 Vem o tempo, é chegado o dia; o que compra não se alegre, e o que vende não se entristeça; porque a ira ardente está sobre toda a multidão deles. 13 Porque o que vende não tornará a possuir o que vendeu, ainda que esteja entre os viventes; porque a visão não tornará para trás sobre toda a sua multidão; nem ninguém fortalecerá a sua vida com a sua iniquidade.

14 Tocaram a trombeta e tudo prepararam, mas não há quem vá à peleja, porque sobre toda a sua multidão está a minha ardente ira. 15 Fora está a espada, e dentro, a peste e a fome; o que estiver no campo morrerá à espada, e o que estiver na cidade a fome e a peste o consumirão. 16 E só escaparão os que deles se escaparem, mas estarão pelos montes, como pombas dos vales, todos gemendo, cada um por causa da sua maldade. 17 Todas as mãos se enfraquecerão, e todos os joelhos destilarão águas. 18 E se cingirão de panos de saco, e os cobrirá o tremor; e sobre todos os rostos haverá vergonha, e sobre toda a sua cabeça, calva. 19 A sua prata lançarão pelas ruas, e o seu ouro será como imundícia; nem a sua prata nem o seu ouro os poderá livrar no dia do furor do Senhor; eles não fartarão a sua alma, nem lhes encherão as entranhas, porque isso foi o tropeço da sua maldade. 20 E a glória do seu ornamento, ele a pôs em magnificência; mas fizeram nela imagens das suas abominações e coisas detestáveis; por isso, eu a tornei para eles como uma coisa imunda. 21 E será entregue na mão dos estranhos por presa, e aos ímpios da terra, por despojo; e a profanarão. 22 E desviarei deles o rosto, e profanarão o meu lugar oculto; porque entrarão nele saqueadores e o profanarão.

23 Faze uma cadeia, porque a terra está cheia de crimes de sangue, e a cidade está cheia de violência. 24 E farei vir os piores de entre as nações, e possuirão as suas casas; e farei cessar a arrogância dos valentes, e os seus lugares santos serão profanados. 25 Vem a destruição; e eles buscarão a paz, mas não há nenhuma. 26 Miséria sobre miséria virá, e se levantará rumor sobre rumor; então, buscarão do profeta uma visão, mas do sacerdote perecerá a lei, e dos anciãos, o conselho. 27 O rei se lamentará, e o príncipe se vestirá de amargura, e as mãos do povo da terra se molestarão; conforme o seu caminho lhes farei e com os seus juízos os julgarei; e saberão que eu sou o Senhor.
