Zacarias 7

O jejum que não agrada a Deus

1 No *Zc 1.1,7;Ed 6.14-15;Ag 2.10,20quarto ano do rei Dario, veio a palavra de Jeová a Zacarias, no quarto dia do nono mês, que é *Ne 1.1quisleu. 2 Ora, os de Betel tinham enviado Sarezer, e Régem-Meleque, e seus homens a *Zc 8.21;1Rs 13.6;Jr 26.19suplicar o favor de Jeová 3 e a fazer aos *Ed 3.10-12sacerdotes da Casa de Jeová dos Exércitos e aos profetas esta pergunta: Hei de eu chorar *Zc 8.19;2Rs 25.8-9;Jr 52.12-14com jejum no quinto mês, *Zc 12.12-14como o tenho feito por tantos anos? 4 Então, veio a mim a palavra de Jeová dos Exércitos, dizendo: 5 Fala a todo o povo da terra e aos sacerdotes: Quando *Zc 8.19jejuastes e pranteastes, no quinto e no *Jr 41.1-3sétimo mês, durante estes setenta anos, acaso, foi para *Is 1.11-12;58.5mim, realmente para mim que jejuastes? 6 Quando comeis e quando bebeis, não sois vós os que comeis e os que bebeis? 7 Acaso, não deveis ouvir as palavras que Jeová *Zc 1.4;Is 1.16-20;Jr 7.5,23tem proferido por meio dos profetas anteriores, quando Jerusalém estava habitada e *Jr 22.21próspera, e as suas cidades circunvizinhas, e *Jr 13.19;32.44o Neguebe, e a Sefelá estavam habitados?

8 A palavra de Jeová veio a Zacarias, dizendo: 9 Assim falou Jeová dos Exércitos: *Zc 8.16;Ez 18.8;45.9Julgai juízo verdadeiro e mostrai *2Sm 9.7;Jó 6.14;Mq 6.8misericórdia e compaixão, cada um para com o seu irmão; 10 *Êx 22.22;Sl 72.4;Jr 7.6não oprimais a viúva e o órfão, nem o estrangeiro e o pobre; *Zc 8.17;Sl 21.11;Mq 2.1nenhum de vós intente no seu coração o mal contra o seu irmão. 11 Mas *Jr 5.3;8.5;11.10recusaram atender, e, *Jr 7.26;17.23rebeldes, voltaram a mim as costas, *Sl 58.4;Jr 5.21e fecharam os seus ouvidos para não ouvirem. 12 Fizeram-se duros como diamante *2Cr 36.13;Ez 2.4;3.7,9os seus corações, para não ouvirem a lei nem *Zc 7.7as palavras que Jeová dos Exércitos tinha enviado pelo seu Espírito por intervenção dos *Ne 9.30profetas anteriores. Portanto, da parte de Jeová dos Exércitos se acendeu *2Cr 36.16;Dn 9.11-12grande ira. 13 *Jr 11.10,14;14.12Como ele clamou, e eles não quiseram ouvir, assim *Pv 1.24-28;Is 1.15eles clamarão, e eu não ouvirei, diz Jeová dos Exércitos; 14 mas *Dt 4.27;28.64os espalharei com *Jr 23.19um turbilhão por entre todas as nações que eles não têm conhecido. Assim, a terra foi *Jr 44.6desolada atrás deles, de sorte *Is 60.15que ninguém passava por ela, nem voltava, pois da terra apetecível *Jr 12.10fizeram uma desolação.

1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu; 2 When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regem-melech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,*7.2 pray…: Heb. intreat the face of 3 And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

4 Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying, 5 Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me? 6 And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?*7.6 did not ye: or, be not ye they that 7 Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?*7.7 Should…: or, Are not these the words*7.7 by: Heb. by the hand of

8 And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying, 9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:*7.9 Execute…: Heb.
