As abominações da casa de Israel depois do êxodo

1 *Ez 1.1-2;8.1;24.1No sétimo ano, no quinto mês, aos dez dias do mês, vindo alguns *Ez 8.1,11-12;9.6anciãos de Israel a consultar a Jeová, *Ez 8.1;14.1;Lc 8.35;At 22.3sentaram-se diante de mim. 2 Veio a mim a palavra de Jeová, dizendo: 3 Filho do homem, fala aos anciãos de Israel e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Acaso, sois vós vindos *Ez 20.31;Ez 14.3a consultar-me? Pela minha vida, diz o Senhor Jeová, *Ez 14.3-4,7,8;1Sm 28.6;Is 1.15;Mq 3.7não me deixarei ser consultado de vós. 4 Acaso, os julgarás, filho do homem; acaso, os julgarás? *Ez 16.2;22.2Faze-os conhecer as abominações de seus pais 5 e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: No dia em que *Êx 6.6-8escolhi a Israel, e levantei a minha mão para a estirpe da casa de Jacó, e me dei a conhecer a eles na terra do Egito, quando levantei a minha mão para eles, dizendo: *Êx 6.2-3Eu sou Jeová vosso Deus, 6 naquele dia, levantei a minha mão para eles, *Ez 20.15jurando *Êx 3.6-8que eu os tiraria da terra do Egito para uma terra que lhes tinha espiado, *Êx 13.5;33.3que mana leite e mel, a qual é a glória de todas as terras. 7 Disse-lhes: *Êx 20.4-5;22.20Lançai de vós, cada um as abominações dos seus olhos, *Lv 18.3;Dt 29.16,18e não vos contamineis com os ídolos do Egito; eu *Êx 20.2sou Jeová, vosso Deus. 8 *Dt 9.7;Is 63.10Mas rebelaram-se contra mim e não me quiseram ouvir; não lançaram de si cada um as *Ez 6.9;14.6abominações dos seus olhos, nem abandonaram os *Êx 32.1-9ídolos do Egito; então, eu disse que *Ez 20.13,21;Ez 5.13;7.8derramaria o meu furor contra eles, para cumprir contra eles a minha ira no meio da terra do Egito. 9 Mas o fiz *Ez 20.14,22;Ez 36.21-22;Êx 32.11-14por amor do meu nome, para que ele *Ez 39.7não fosse profanado à vista das nações no meio das quais estavam, *Js 2.10;9.9-10;1Sm 4.8a cujos olhos eu me dei a conhecer a eles, tirando-os da terra do Egito.

10 Assim, os fiz sair da terra do Egito e os trouxe para *Êx 19.1o deserto. 11 Dei-lhes os meus *Êx 20.1—23.33estatutos e mostrei-lhes os meus juízos, os quais, se *Ez 20.13;Lv 18.5os observar o homem, viverá por eles. 12 Demais, lhes dei também os meus sábados para servirem de *Ez 20.20;Êx 31.13,17sinal entre mim e eles, a fim de que soubessem que eu sou Jeová que os santifica. 13 Mas a casa de Israel *Ez 20.8;Nm 14.11-12,22rebelou-se contra mim no deserto; *Ez 20.16,24;Lv 26.15,43;Am 2.4não andaram nos meus estatutos e rejeitaram os meus juízos, *Ez 20.11os quais, se os observar o homem, viverá por eles; e profanaram grandemente *Ez 20.21;Is 56.6os meus sábados. Então, eu disse que *Ez 20.8,21;Êx 32.10;Dt 9.8derramaria o meu furor sobre eles no deserto, para os consumir. 14 Porém o fiz *Ez 20.9,22;Ez 36.22-23;Nm 14.21por amor do meu nome, para que ele não fosse profanado à vista das nações a cujos olhos os fiz sair. 15 Demais, levantei também as minhas mãos para eles no deserto, *Ez 20.6,23;Nm 14.22-23;Sl 95.11;Hb 3.11,18jurando que eu não os introduziria na terra que lhes havia dado, que mana leite e mel, a qual é a glória de todas as terras; 16 porque *Ez 20.13rejeitaram os meus juízos, e não andaram nos meus estatutos, e profanaram os meus sábados. Pois o seu *Ez 20.8;Ez 11.21;14.3-7coração ia após os seus ídolos. 17 Não obstante, os meus *Ez 8.18;9.10;Nm 14.20olhos os pouparam, para não os destruir, nem *Ez 11.13;Jr 4.27;5.18os acabei de todo no deserto.

A ira de Jeová contra a idolatria de Israel

18 Eu disse a seus *Nm 14.31;Dt 4.3-6filhos no deserto: *Zc 1.4Não andeis nos estatutos de vossos pais, nem observeis os seus juízos, *Ez 20.7nem vos contamineis com os seus ídolos. 19 Eu *Êx 6.7;20.2sou Jeová, vosso Deus. *Ez 20.13,16Andai nos meus estatutos, e guardai os meus juízos, e praticai-os; 20 *Ez 20.12santificai os meus sábados, e eles servirão de sinal entre mim e vós para que saibais que eu sou Jeová, vosso Deus. 21 *Nm 21.5;25.1-3Os filhos, porém, *Ez 20.8,13rebelaram-se contra mim; *Ez 20.13,16não andaram nos meus estatutos, nem guardaram os meus juízos para os praticarem, os quais, se os observar o homem, viverá por eles; profanaram os meus sábados. Então, eu disse que *Ez 20.8,13eu derramaria sobre eles o meu furor, para cumprir contra eles a minha ira no deserto. 22 Não obstante, *Ez 20.17;Jó 13.21;Sl 78.38retirei a minha mão, e o fiz *Ez 20.9,14;Is 48.9-11;Jr 14.7,21por amor do meu nome, para que ele não fosse profanado à vista das nações *Ez 20.9,14a cujos olhos os fiz sair. 23 Demais, levantei eu a minha mão para eles no deserto, *Ez 20.6,15jurando que os *Lv 26.33;Dt 4.27;28.64espalharia entre as nações e os dispersaria pelos países; 24 porque *Ez 20.13,16não tinham executado os meus juízos, mas tinham rejeitado os meus estatutos, profanado os meus sábados, e os seus olhos iam após os ídolos de seus pais. 25 Ainda mais: dei-lhes também eu estatutos *Sl 81.12;Is 66.4;Rm 1.21-25,28que não eram bons, juízos pelos quais não haviam de viver; 26 e *Ez 20.30;Lv 18.21;20.2-5;Is 63.17;Rm 11.8os contaminei nos seus próprios dons, porquanto *Jr 7.31;19.4-9faziam passar pelo fogo todos os que abrem a madre, para que eu os fizesse desolados, *Ez 20.12,20;Ez 6.7a fim de saberem eles que eu sou Jeová.

27 Portanto, filho do homem, *Ez 2.7;3.4,11,27fala à casa de Israel e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Ainda nisso me *Nm 15.30;Rm 2.24blasfemaram vossos pais, que *Ez 18.24;39.23,26cometeram contra mim uma transgressão. 28 Pois, tendo-os *Js 23.3,14;Ne 9.22-26;Sl 78.55eu introduzido na terra a respeito da qual levantei a minha mão, *Ez 20.6jurando que lha daria a eles, então, olharam para todos os *Ez 6.13;1Rs 14.23;Sl 78.58;Is 57.5-7;Jr 2.7;3.6outeiros altos e todas as árvores frondosas, e ali ofereceram os seus sacrifícios, e ali apresentaram a provocação das suas ofertas. Também ali puseram os seus *Ez 16.19suaves cheiros e ali derramaram as suas libações. 29 Eu lhes disse: Que significa *Ez 16.16;43.7o alto a que vós ides? Assim, o seu nome ficou sendo Bamá até hoje. 30 Pelo que dize à casa de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Acaso, *Ez 20.43vós vos contaminais a vós mesmos segundo a maneira de *Jz 2.19;Jr 7.26;16.12vossos pais? E ides vós fornicando após as suas abominações? 31 Ao oferecerdes os vossos dons, quando fazeis *Ez 20.26;Ez 16.20;Sl 106.37-39;Jr 7.31passar pelo fogo vossos filhos, vós vos contaminais com todos os vossos ídolos até o dia de hoje. Hei eu de *Ez 20.3;Ez 14.3;2Rs 3.13-14;Jr 14.12;Zc 7.13ser consultado por vós, ó casa de Israel? Pela minha vida, diz o Senhor Jeová, não serei consultado de vós; 32 o que entra na vossa mente *Ez 16.16de maneira alguma sucederá; pois vós dizeis: Seremos como as nações, como as famílias dos países, *Jr 2.25;44.17servindo ao pau e à pedra.

Futura restauração de Israel

33 Pela minha vida, diz o Senhor Jeová, certamente, com *Ez 16.27;25.7,13,16;Jr 21.5mão forte, com braço estendido e com furor derramado, hei de ser *Jr 51.57rei sobre vós; 34 *Ez 20.38;Ez 34.16;Is 27.12-13tirar-vos-ei dos povos e vos ajuntarei dos países em que vos achais espalhados, com mão forte, com braço estendido e com *Jr 42.18;44.6;Lm 2.4furor derramado; 35 levar-vos-ei *Ez 20.36;Ez 19.13;Os 2.14ao deserto dos povos e ali, face a face, entrarei em juízo convosco. 36 Bem como *Ez 20.13,21;Nm 11.1-35;Sl 106.15;1Co 10.5-10entrei em juízo com vossos pais *Dt 32.10no deserto da terra do Egito, assim entrarei em juízo convosco, diz o Senhor Jeová. 37 Far-vos-ei *Lv 27.32;Jr 33.13passar debaixo da vara e vos *Ez 16.60,62;Lv 26.25;Sl 89.30-32farei entrar no vínculo da aliança; 38 *Ez 34.17-22;Am 9.9-10;Zc 13.8-9;Ml 3.3;4.1-3separarei dentre vós os rebeldes e os que contra mim transgridem; da terra das suas peregrinações os farei sair, porém *Ez 20.15-16;Ez 13.9;Nm 14.29-30;Sl 95.11;Hb 4.3eles não entrarão na terra de Israel; e sabereis que eu sou Jeová. 39 Quanto a vós, ó casa de Israel, assim diz o Senhor Jeová: *Jr 44.25-26Ide, servi cada um de vós os seus ídolos; contudo, mais tarde me ouvireis e *Ez 23.38-39;43.7;Is 1.13-15não profanareis mais o meu santo nome com os vossos dons e com os vossos ídolos.

Profecia contra o bosque do Sul

40 Pois no meu santo *Ez 17.23;40.2;43.12;Mq 4.1-2monte, no monte alto de Israel, diz o Senhor Jeová, ali me servirá *Ez 37.22,24;Is 66.23toda a casa de Israel, toda ela, na terra. Ali, os *Ez 43.12,27;Is 56.7;60.7aceitarei e ali requererei as vossas ofertas e as primícias das vossas oblações, juntamente com todas as vossas coisas santas. 41 Como *Ez 20.28suave cheiro, *Ez 11.17;28.25;Is 27.12-13vos aceitarei, quando eu vos tirar dos povos e vos ajuntar dos países em que tendes sido espalhados; eu serei *Ez 28.25;36.23;Is 5.16santificado em vós à vista das nações. 42 *Ez 20.38,44Sabereis que eu sou Jeová, quando *Ez 34.13,27;37.21eu vos introduzir na terra de Israel, *Ez 20.6,15no país a respeito do qual levantei a minha mão, jurando que o daria a vossos pais. 43 Ali, *Ez 6.9;16.61,63;Os 5.15vos lembrareis dos vossos caminhos e de todos os vossos feitos pelos quais vos tendes contaminado a vós mesmos; *Ez 36.31;Jr 31.18;Zc 12.10e tereis nojo em vós por causa de todas as vossas maldades que tendes cometido. 44 *Ez 20.38Sabereis que eu sou Jeová, quando o tiver feito *Ez 20.9,14,22por amor do meu nome *Ez 36.22,32e não conforme os vossos maus caminhos, nem conforme os vossos feitos corruptos, ó casa de Israel, diz o Senhor Jeová.

45 Veio a mim a palavra de Jeová, dizendo: 46 Filho do homem, *Ez 4.7;6.2olha para o *Ez 21.4;Jr 13.19Sul, e *Ez 21.2;Am 7.16;Mq 2.6deixa cair a tua palavra para o Sul, e profetiza contra o *Is 30.6-11bosque do campo do Neguebe. 47 Dize ao bosque do Neguebe: Ouve a palavra de Jeová: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Eis que *Is 9.18-19;Jr 21.14acenderei em ti um fogo que devorará em ti toda *Ez 17.24árvore verde e toda árvore seca; não se apagará a chama flamejante, e por ela serão queimados *Is 13.8todos os rostos desde o Sul até o Norte. 48 Toda a carne verá que eu, Jeová, acendi o fogo; *Jr 7.20;17.27não se apagará. 49 Então, disse eu: Ah! Senhor Jeová! Eles dizem de mim: Não é ele fazedor de *Ez 17.2;Mt 13.13-14;Jo 16.25parábolas?

1 In the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, some of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Yahweh, and sat before me.

2 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 3 "Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: "Is it to inquire of me that you have come? As I live," says the Lord Yahweh, "I will not be inquired of by you."’

4 "Will you judge them, son of man? Will you judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers. 5 Tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: "In the day when I chose Israel, and swore to the offspring of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, ‘I am Yahweh your God;’ 6 in that day I swore to them to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands. 7 I said to them, ‘Each of you throw away the abominations of his eyes. Don’t defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.’

8 "‘"But they rebelled against me and wouldn’t listen to me. They didn’t all throw away the abominations of their eyes. They also didn’t forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the middle of the land of Egypt. 9 But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt. 10 So I caused them to go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. 11 I gave them my statutes and showed them my ordinances, which if a man does, he will live in them. 12 Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.

13 "‘"But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They didn’t walk in my statutes and they rejected my ordinances, which if a man keeps, he shall live in them. They greatly profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them. 14 But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out. 15 Moreover also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands, 16 because they rejected my ordinances, and didn’t walk in my statutes, and profaned my Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols. 17 Nevertheless my eye spared them, and I didn’t destroy them. I didn’t make a full end of them in the wilderness. 18 I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Don’t walk in the statutes of your fathers. Don’t observe their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols. 19 I am Yahweh your God. Walk in my statutes, keep my ordinances, and do them. 20 Make my Sabbaths holy. They shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your God.’

21 "‘"But the children rebelled against me. They didn’t walk in my statutes, and didn’t keep my ordinances to do them, which if a man does, he shall live in them. They profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness. 22 Nevertheless I withdrew my hand and worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out. 23 Moreover I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries, 24 because they had not executed my ordinances, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols. 25 Moreover also I gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances in which they couldn’t live. 26 I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused all that opens the womb to pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am Yahweh."’

27 "Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: "Moreover, in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me. 28 For when I had brought them into the land which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering. There they also made their pleasant aroma, and there they poured out their drink offerings. 29 Then I said to them, ‘What does the high place where you go mean?’ So its name is called Bamah*20:29 "Bamah" means "High Place". to this day."’

30 "Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: "Do you pollute yourselves in the way of your fathers? Do you play the prostitute after their abominations? 31 When you offer your gifts, when you make your sons pass through the fire, do you pollute yourselves with all your idols to this day? Should I be inquired of by you, house of Israel? As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I will not be inquired of by you!

32 "‘"That which comes into your mind will not be at all, in that you say, ‘We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.’ 33 As I live," says the Lord Yahweh, "surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, I will be king over you. 34 I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out. 35 I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face. 36 Just as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you," says the Lord Yahweh. 37 "I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. 38 I will purge out from among you the rebels and those who disobey me. I will bring them out of the land where they live, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am Yahweh."

39 "‘As for you, house of Israel, the Lord Yahweh says: "Go, everyone serve his idols, and hereafter also, if you will not listen to me; but you shall no more profane my holy name with your gifts and with your idols. 40 For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel," says the Lord Yahweh, "there all the house of Israel, all of them, shall serve me in the land. There I will accept them, and there I will require your offerings and the first fruits of your offerings, with all your holy things. 41 I will accept you as a pleasant aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries in which you have been scattered. I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations. 42 You will know that I am Yahweh when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I swore to give to your fathers. 43 There you will remember your ways, and all your deeds in which you have polluted yourselves. Then you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that you have committed. 44 You will know that I am Yahweh, when I have dealt with you for my name’s sake, not according to your evil ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, you house of Israel," says the Lord Yahweh.’"
